Sounds like you had a really great time at your visits to
Middleham Moe, pity they hiked the prices up but it sounds
    an interesting yard :good:

Well Kelso and Perth didn’t do it for me this week but my old
reserve came to the rescue again. I’was following the China Open,
which was well on when I looked in ouwing to the time difference
of 10 hours. It wasn’t looking like I was going to get the 1st
round leader, but I checked and the leader was in the clubhouse
at 9 under, well odds on. I noticed Alejandro Del Rey was 5 under
after 11 holes and Paddy Power were 35/1. On his game he can rattle
them in. Well he only banged in 5 birdies in the next 6 holes and
finished 10 under on his own. Sometimes luck smiles on you :good:

:yahoo: Well done Graham I knew you would bring it round and get your revenge on the bookies with your golf bets. :yahoo:

Darren a nice winner and good luck tomorrow at Sandown… :good:

I’m having to sit tomorrow out as Dave not been too well this week and Louise has been over to help me look after him.

I’m popping her back home tomorrow as she doesn’t drive and don’t think I will have time to study up properly..my mind hasn’t been on it this week.I just want to see how all those Godolphin horses run to try and figure out where they’re going as far as being fit for the season ahead… :good:

Godolphin Fantasy Competition open for selecting stables today..it all kicks off next week before the Guineas Festival and we are being allowed an amazing 5 Swaps per month 🤭 :mail:

Best of luck for the good racing cards tomorrow and over the weekend..take care all..Jac :rose: x

Wow….just got home in time to back Opera Ballo with my PP £10 freebet..
On the nose.. thank you Paddy .. never in doubt. :yahoo:
Hope you backed him Nick as I know you were keen on him.

Must admit seeing them in the paddock Field OF Gold had a really fat tummy on him, Zeus Olympios looked fit but market support was weak, whilst there were positive vibes for Opera Ballo. :yahoo: He flew out of the stalls and never looked back.
    Enjoyed that.. :good: Jac

Just as well you got home in time to back Opera Ballo Jac.
4/1 is some price for a horse who had won his last 2 with
his head in his chest :yahoo:

I’m sorry to hear that Dave is going through a bit of a rough
spell at the moment, I hope he picks up soon :good:

I think he was such a good price because the last two races had seen the Godolphin horses way down the field..I got 9/2 so very pleased.
Went on to back Al Zanati and Into The Light in the last..both ran 2nd but Into The Light in the 4.45 was so unlucky to be stopped on his run and only went down by a short head..into the notebook..he’ll win next time out. :good:

Dave still quite poorly Graham he’s been getting bouts of confusion and extreme fatigue. Some days are better than others…
Hope you are feeling much better now and also Marjorie. We’re plodding on taking each day as it comes.. :rose:
Have a great weekend and find lots of winners. 🏆 :good: Jac x

Wish I’d got some of the 12’s and 10’s Nick but actually seeing them on TV gave me the confidence to back against Fields Of Gold as he really looked as though he would need the race.
Very impressed with the winner. :yahoo: Jac

Giving the front two weight Jac was a very good performance, what to ? I’d stay at the mile there, but is it right Appleby said he won’t go to Lockinge (Notable Speech?)
    Thoughts Jac

Hello Everyone, I hope everyone is doing well.

Jac – I am so sorry to hear about Dave’s health struggles recently. I’m sure that you and Louise are taking good care of him. Hopefully he’ll turn the corner and starts feeling better soon. Keeping you in my thoughts.

Looks like you’ve been bookie bashing with your golf best again Graham. Not sure how you find these players, but keep it up! Love to see it! :yahoo: Hopefully the CPAP machine will help with your sleep problems. Hopefully both you and Marjorie are doing well.

The last weekend of the NH season, seems like it’s just going out with a wimp this year.

Godolphin comp starts soon. I think I’ll give the new format a try.

We’re in full craft show mode again, at least through the end of May, early June. We’re both battling nasty colds/coughs, but other than that doing well.

I’ll be keeping half an eye on the football scores, as my Spurs are battling for their PL survival. After more than 60 years as a fan, this is the worst mess they’ve gotten themselves into.

Good luck with all your bets and comp selections this weekend.
    Take Care Everyone

My laptop won’t connect so I’m on to my phone again. It was working earlier on, I think a new laptop looks likely..
I backed Solness a couple of days ago at 4/1 . I think he’s down to 7/5 or about there. I think he looks better and the extra distance suits. There must have been withdrawals so I’d imagine the odds will be cut if he wins.

I’ve gone for Livin on Luco in the Gold Cup.
    1530 Livin On Luco 14/1 Bet365. I think he’s well weighted.

Back to trying to fix my laptop

It doesn’t matter that Solness got beat, it’s a horrible race with poor Thistle Ask having to be put down. I knew as soon as he went wrong that it looked serious. Commiserations to all connections. RIP poor Thistle Ask

I’ve never know anyone go through laptops like you Graham! Seems like you’re always getting a new one!

Terribly sad news about Thistle Ark – there seems to be just a lot of tragic deaths in racing lately.

    Thank you Andre and Graham..
Some improvement last two days but not out of woods yet.. :rose:
    Will keep you updated.

Back later but before I forget having a fiver.each way in..

    6.45 Musselburgh
    ARCHDUKE FERDINAND – 30/1 (4 places)

I have seen this flying grey in the grey horse Handicap at Newmarket and now they’ve dropped him 2 classes from his last run I think he could get a place here.. :good: Jac

Heartbroken about Thistle Ask yesterday

I’ve sure gone through a few laptops Andre, I’m sure Currys
salesmen/women fight to get to me 1st when I go through the
doors  The problem has been over the last few years
I fall asleep without realising I’m going to and the next
thing I hear is a crash when my laptop hits the floor. I’ve
got this one held together with superglue when the casing
cracked right along the back. In my defence, I had no idea
I had Sleep Apnea and if it wasn’t for Mr Guhan deciding he
wanted me tested that they found that during a normal
hour I stop breathing 29 times (the maximum allowed is 5)
I got a CPAP machine and I’ve been using it for about 2
weeks. It pumps oxygen into my lungs when I stop breathing.
Since I’ve been on it, I’ve not fallen asleep during the
daytime once in the past 10 days :yahoo: . That hasn’t
happened in the last 3 or 4 years, so I’m hoping that my
glued together shot might last it out without further
punishment. Actually this time it wasn’t my laptop’s fault,
it was the BT box going to my modem that was corroded
inside (it’s old) the SKY guy fitted a new box and I was
    up and running :good:

I don’t know if anyone watched the golf tonight, the Zurich
Classic Of New Orleans, but I was an absolute wreck by the
end. They play in pairs and I had bet the two Fitzpatrick
boys who were the 1st brothers to win the competition. It
came down to the last hole with the boys needing a birdie
to win. It didn’t look good when Alex pushed his shot into
the bunker but his more experience brother, Matt, chipped it
36 yards to 14ins. Alex who has never made the tour, but has
qualified for next year because of the 400 points,( not to
mention the $1,372,750 they each got) got the honour of popping
it in. He crumpled to his knees and his big brother ran on and
they hugged. It was quite emotional. I only had them at 10/1 but
I won’t have to put up a betslip as I had them nominated on Darren’s
    thread.

Right, I’m getting my snorkel on now and having a good night’s
    sleep B-)
