    Best wishes to Marjorie, BigG
Hope everything goes well and she is over the worst of it

I popped into Taunton races today to see Brentford Hope. He found nothing off the bridle again and finished 2nd but I still love him…

Richard Hughes was there but managed to avoid me for a photo.. :rose:

Thanks Sam that’s very kind..I’m feeling much better antibiotics did their job, so many people I know going down with bugs. Take care.
Quite envied Nathan being at his local track today watching his favourite horse. :rose:

Well I was a bit confused earlier, the Radiographer injected into
a nerve and afterwards took Marjorie for a short walk. There didn’t
appear to be any difference and we raised that we were under the
impression it would be the cyst that would be worked on. A few
exchanges and they said they would consult The Surgeon about
the problem today (Friday). We felt quite down when we left,
but as the night has gone on Marjorie is moving much more freely
and can sit instead of having to lie on one side, so perhaps
this was helpful despite not being what we imagined. Still on
the painkillers, but despite our scepticism things seem (at
this point) to be a good lot better. We’ll see how it is
    during the night and tomorrow.

I’ll need to get my head back into our 4 legged friends,
I’ve been neglecting them for weeks. Stolen Silver runs in the
Dwcember Gold Cup Handicap Chaseon Saturday, and He’s in my TTF
and TTTF Jumps, I think he could be a big one this season. I’ll
be backing him at Cheltenham, but where will he run

Hope you are all in the pink :good:

How confusing Graham but good in the fact that Marjorie is now getting some relief from the injection.
I know you will be on the ball as regards to further treatment and rightly so as you seem to have presented at the hospital with mixed messages. Hope the surgeon gets back to you today to explain fully.

Good luck with your TTF dark horse Stolen Silver…can well understand why you are not giving the horses your full attention and hope he comes good for you. :good:

At the moment we have thick coatings of frost everyehere and expect you are worse off in Dunoon. Some racing could be in doubt tomorrow so we may all be playing on the All Weather tracks if they can stand up to the frost.

All good wishes to you and Marjorie and her continued improvement each day..
    Jac :rose: x

Thanks Jac and all is going well today with Marjorie, so our
Christmas down south visiting my family is definitely back on :good:

Stolen Silver travelled well for a long way in the Paddy Power,
but looked like he maybe needed the race when coming down 3 out.
He was lame directly after the race but must be fine now or Sam
Thomas wouldn’t chance him in this carrying top weight. I think
he could turn out to be better than a handicapper. I’ll be watching
where he runs at the Festival :good:

Jac. I bought some silver earrings the other day because some earrings I wore caused an infection. The woman who makes them said you still have to be careful with silver earrings because they aren’t always pure (maybe it was just her sales pitch). So I’m wearing some rather ancient gold ones that unfortunately have a habit of dropping out. Didn’t bother wearing earrings much throughout the pandemic and I still don’t go out much these days and I’m paying for it now.

Many thanks Sam, she’s doing well. :good:

I’m looking forward to seeing Alexander to tell him all about the new
system named after him. Not that he’ll understand a word, but I’ll see
how positive his expression is, that should let us know you’re on the
    right track :good:

    Hi Big G.

    That will be excellent.
Let’s hope we can get a few bob in his Mum and Dad’s bank account through this system!
Not today though, I’ve got a few duties and will be out and about today and hopefully back in time for the football.
It is the most simple of systems and looking back at results is key to it particularly at Dundalk. It is quite revealing but also frustrating looking at results when you realise just how easy it would be to land tricasts you think that once you’ve missed one you’ll never get a chance again but physics simply does not change.
Best wishes Big G and regards to your wife and family.Triptych hi to Dave,
Euro, Triptych, John Gooch, Nathan and all that post on this super thread,
have a great day everyone, fingers crossed might make the last at wolves if it is on….

Glad to hear you are doing better Jac and best of luck to Graham and Marjorie.

One bet today. Amber Dew (4:50 Wolverhampton). Beaten a fair way on her penultimate start but early indications suggest the race was fairly strong with her stablemate Visibility winning yesterday. This coupled with the step back down in trip makes her a bet. She’s got form off higher marks than this on the all weather. Only narrowly touched off in a fillies only race last time. Would hope she can place today

    Hello Everyone,

That’s a lovely picture of Brentford Hope Nathan. Thanks for sharing. It’s a shame you couldn’t get a photo with Richard Hughes. Maybe next time!

Glad you’re doing better Jac. Allergies like that can be very scary.

Graham – glad to hear Marjorie is doing a lot better. Hopefully she’ll continue to get better each day so you can fully enjoy your trip “down south” to see little Alexander for Christmas.

Hello Sam, hope you find the winner in the last at Wolves!

Needless to say I’m disappointed that there’s no racing today as I was actually planning on watching a lot of it! Oh well…..

The Christmas “rush” is upon us, buying of gifts, wrapping of gifts, etc. etc. I’m going to spend 3 or 4 days next week dog sitting as my daughter and her husband fly to Arizona for a few days. When I agreed to go down they had just the one adult dog….. since then they’ve gotten a puppy! – so now I get to dog sit a puppy while trying to work from her house. Wish me luck.

    Take Care Everyone!

Great news Graham. You and Marjorie must be so relieved that you will be visiting your grandson for his first Christmas down our way .enjoy every moment.
I didn’t see Stolen Silvers race but sounds like you can forgive him that run and hope he comes good for you next time. :good:

    @Moe

Wise advice Moe I also heard that some silver can have traces of nickel in it so have to be especially careful now..I”m quite worried about using any earings at the moment but I will clean with anti bac each use if I do go ahead
Lockdown has a lot to answer for doesn’t it let alone playing with folks immune systems and mental health. :rose:

Thanks for the good wishes Sam, Krypton and Andre :rose: ..I have one against your
Amber Dew in the 4.50 today Krypton namely Pocket The Profit who was my Nap last Saturday and carries that burden again today.
He was slowly away last week and Will Buick just failed to hold off the challenge of Treacherous. He could come good later with Jim Crowley on board today as Buick in Hong Kong.

    Andre..
Yes agreed disappointing racing this Saturday with just Wolverhampton racing on the Tapeta surface. I’m just hoping for a winner this week and I have backed all my competition choices. :good:

Good luck dog and pup sitting for your daughter..are they big dogs or little ones? The puppy must be very cute (aren’t they all) you might have to start giving us pupdates while you are there..
Good luck with the working from home bit  you could be in for a lot of distractions…

Best of luck with your horses today and to Graham also as he’s not had a lot of time to study this week and look forward to the next instalment of Sam’s Alexander System… Jac x

Hope Marjorie getting better each day Graham.. :rose:

I managed to find 3 winners in the 3 horses comp yesterday all riden by Jim Crowley.. :good:

Don’t ask me how Pocket The Profit flew from virtually last place to win his race I was counting my losses 2 furlongs from home. He was my 4/1 Nap and I got 9/2 from Paddy Power enhanced price. Tarjamah then dotted up at 5/2 followed by Manaafith 15/8 and I backed them all including a £5 treble which returned me £233.59 I think there was a 10p rule 4 in Tarjamah’s race.

I was surprised to find 3 winners from just the one meeting and one jockey but yesterday my luck was in.

Have Energumene running at Cork soon and he is in my 2 TTF compy teams the Tote and Bobby’s. I think 30 others also have him but just let him come home the winner safe and sound. :rose:

Well done finding three winners yesterday Jac! Some lovely bookie bashing :yahoo: and some nice points for the Pick 3 Comp. Great stuff!! :good:

My daughter has a 5 or 6 year old Weimaraner (Nori_ and a 2 or 3 month old long haired dachshund (Noodle). It will be an interesting few days, that’s for sure! I will try and provide updates.

Good Luck with Energumene – all being well he should trot up in that race. I’d put Epson Du Houx in the forecast – although I doubt it will pay much.

Good Luck and Stay Safe Everyone

Thanks Andre that small windfall has certainly come in time for spreading some Christmas cheer. I will make a donation to my Hillside charity for blankets and hay for the horses and other animals and I will take my daughter out shopping to help top up the grandchildren’s Christmas stockings ..thank you Paddy 🍀

Energumene has romped home safely by 15 lengths :yahoo: ..this weekend has certainly cheered me up after a horrible couple of weeks. Only wish England had beaten France for all you footy fans but they did their best.

Andre my son Chris’s friend Luke had a Weimeraner called Mort he was a complete nutcase but very lovable such a silky coat. My daughter Louise adores the long haired daschund and would be envying you spending all that time with little Noodle..hope it all goes well and you manage to at least get some work done from your temporary home from home. B-)

Look forward to your updates Andre and we’re all here for any puppy advice you might require. :good: Jac x
