How about the horse? He couldn’t quite stand up after the fall
March 17, 2022 at 13:40 #1588072You’ve been scraping the barrel this week Mike, even by your own desperately low standards
March 17, 2022 at 13:41 #1588074Ah, nightmare, comfortably had him buried there and we can safely say that bob wont be in the same league going forward
Comfortably green on the race in play but very, very unsatisfactory
March 17, 2022 at 13:41 #1588075Had the reign caught over his leg
March 17, 2022 at 13:43 #1588076The horse struggled to get up I think only because had his foot in the reign, Ruby.
Should be ok.Value Is EverythingMarch 17, 2022 at 13:43 #1588078GDC is OK. Got his legs caught up in the reins.
So sad, he was putting up a fine performance.
Racing is a real leveller sometimes. The same connections benefited from Goshen’s mishap in the Triumph. How ironic that they should have such similar misfortune.
March 17, 2022 at 13:45 #1588080Cheer up Kris. It’s Cheltenham ;o)
March 17, 2022 at 13:45 #1588081Ruby there saying reign was caught on his leg , he looked sore walking though , hopefully he,ll be OK , Ruby on the defensive for Towsend , he didn’t do anything wrong , he just isnt AP , Ruby ….or Rachel
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 17, 2022 at 13:45 #1588082Christ. I can’t stop crying. I thought he was gone….I don’t care what happens for the rest of the week.
March 17, 2022 at 13:46 #1588083Provided all is ok GDC has bags of potential.
Value Is EverythingMarch 17, 2022 at 13:46 #1588084Reminded me of Killultagh Vic the way he went down – that wasn’t at Cheltenham but that horse suffered a bad injury from it and was never the same again. I’d imagine a few will be lumping on antepost for Gold Cups etc for next year. I’d hold fire to see hes actually okay and jumps a fence ok next season first. Such a shame lets hope hes okay.
March 17, 2022 at 13:47 #1588086Fair point TTM, but imo has a bigger chance in the Gold Cup than the Browns Advisory winner.
Value Is EverythingMarch 17, 2022 at 13:48 #1588088Bob Olinger is a very good horse but Galopin Des Champs had him well cooked before falling
next years Gold Cup winner for meGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
March 17, 2022 at 13:50 #1588090He has got potential but in my eyes there still a question , rather have BMG jumping for me , maybe too brave , God knows where they go with Bob as he def ain’t a jumper
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 17, 2022 at 13:50 #1588091Yep sounds about right Nathan.
March 17, 2022 at 13:51 #1588092Henry saying gold cup ……… Nah I’ll leave that thanks
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 17, 2022 at 13:51 #1588093These things happen; thought he was jumping v big early in the race, but had looked v strong the further the race went on. Would seem to be the outstanding novice of this years batch, but never know the relative merits until they face open company.
He seems to be OK, but so many horses don’t come back to top form from falls/mistakes e.g. Douvan, Imperial Call - AuthorPosts
