What is the point of races like The Scilly Isles? Time to downgrade it from a Grade 1. It’s clearly not fit for purpose.

The purpose of the Scilly Isles is to identify the best 2 1/2 mile novice chaser at that point in the season, which it did.

It is not a trial race for Cheltenham, although I expect L’Homme Pressé to follow up tomorrow.

Sums up the week …. Shame the Brits didn’t have a go at them , Bob can’t jump and the Mullins horse got away with 1 mistake but not the other
