I’m on GDC any race but plenty of multis for the 3 mile race look to be going down the drain
Ruby Walsh has certainly been favouring it for GDC on The Road To Cheltenham shows.
Venetia saying L’homme presse ground dependent for this or the turners as well.
I’m praying she sees sense and sticks to the shorter trip for now.
This 2m 3.5f race is eating the Arkle alive. It needs removing or making a handicap.

I don’t have a problem with this race existing. The likes of Sprinter Sacre, Altior, Shishkin, Douvan and Un De Sceaux won the Arkle. These very good horses didn’t get rerouted to this one.

They’ve already got a two and a half mile h’cap chase on the same day, so am assuming a G1 chase over a similar trip was a good fit for them in the meeting structure.

Remove race? – no need at present.
Make it a handicap? – no need at present.Good horses that have won this wouldn’t have won the Arkle
I reckon the stiffer New Course adds about a furlong to the Old Course races
Cheltenham would just be a one day meeting comprising of 6 races if some of you lot had your way!
I’m not sure he’s as big a certainty as you think Mike.
He’s won very impressively no doubt but would capodanno or bacardys cause L’homme any worries? Absolutely not. He won his race very easily New Year’s Day then absolutely trotted up at sandown.
Bob hasn’t ran for what will be the best part of two month. Not sure that’s ideal personally.
At the prices I know which one I’d rather be on.
Bob Olinger was winning when the De Bromhead horses were running like drains TC. You ain’t seen nothing yet. Not worried about the break either – if the trainer says he didn’t need another run that’s ok with me.
The Venetia horse may not turn up here. Arguably better off going to the 3 miler especially if GDC comes here.
As said previously bob hasnt blown me away and if GDC turns up laying bob will be my biggest bet of the week, i couldnt have him getting near GDC, bobs a hurdler thats over a fence because honeysuckle, that sums it up for me
