Impressed by the once raced Epsom trial winner, Saxon Street, today. He should get the mile and a half and I managed to sneak a bit of Unibet’s 33-1 ew before they fell in with the general 25-1.
I’m sure some people will knock him for the second being a 33-1 outsider but he too was a once raced winner of a maiden and is probably a decent horse. I believe Eve Johnson Houghton thought the 3rd was a lively Derby outsider also.

Sorry, you’re right, Nathan, these double-barrelled female trainers are everywhere!

done it well giving weight but think some may well go over the top after that , if you are on at big prices you have done great but at probably prices now this ship has sailed for me

I agree nwalton… Did done it nice enough but the 2nd fav missed the break, hung, stable not in great form. The third got blocked in at the crucial point and the runner up went off like a train and finished close enough despite ruining his own chances to set the frantic pace

Can get around 3/1 , with some 4s with bet Goodwin, so they are certainly dangling a carrot for punters

I can’t have him Nathan at the prices now(not saying he can’t win) and tbh thought he would be shorter than that with the books, but as said not for me

Not for me I’d rather give Pierre Bonnard a tickle at 8’s with bet365
Amazing how Aidan can get them to improve from a first run and he wasn’t slick on his 2 y/o debut. I wouldn’t give up on Ryan being on board either. He was complimentary enough after the first time out effort

Everything Aidan runs and wins in these Trails will get shortened
Strictly off the Ballysax running it seems inconceivable that Christmas Day would now be behind Pierre Bonnard in the Derby market. I think if Ryan gets on Pierre he’ll go off fav

I would think the same applies to Benvenuto Cellini improving from today’s first run where he’s just run under standard carrying a penalty.

His sectionals were interesting – recorded sub 12 second furlongs for each of his final 4F and they were all fast (to par). His race is the only time so far today to have gone under standard (0.38 fast).

He beat nothing but considering many of Aidan’s have looked short of fitness first time out, this was encouraging with more to come – he is such a beautiful and fluent mover (clearly the heavy ground at Donny was no good for him) so I hope they don’t water too much at Epsom if this dry spell continues.

Given how quickly the pacemaker went off, he did well to stay on for second place – another case of a horse (another Frankel offspring as well) that could easily be a number one in many stables being reduced to a pacemaking role.

Very impressive mover like Epsom will suit him, he may have beat nothing can only beat what running though

Hes a stunning looking horse and a lovely mover. Come derby day ryan will have to make a choice. Wayne lordan will no doubt have a great chance on whoever is deemed as the second string. We will know more by the end of this week. Constitution river a very interesting contender.
