I’m not so sure he’s that far ahead of PH, Matt. Watch the ride on Silent Lucidity today on the Ruckplayer. Look at how he kept a clearly knackered horse perfectly balanced as he was being challenged by the Goldie animal. Niven’s horse was straight as a die all the way to the line – man and beast in perfect harmony.
July 20, 2010 at 14:19 #307519Compare yesterdays ride with his ride just now on the well backed Little Oz at Yarmouth. Watching the two races you wouldn’t know it’s the same jockey.

I’ll call it as I saw it just as I did with Matt bagging the same ride on another thread. Fallon rode his horse well enough and was simply beaten by an inspired Seb Sanders. Poor post.
July 20, 2010 at 14:34 #307531You seem to have misunderstood my post Chiswickian – today was the old Fallon drive, the strength etc. yesterday there was minimal effort aboard My Manikato.

Very interesting stats.
Its remarkable no tv company has done a programme yet about horses that drift on betfair and loose…
Would make for interesting viewing. I for one would love to know why this happens.
Anyone remember the Tim Vaughan horse the other week at Newton Abbott, went off 5/6 and was freely available at 2.96 in betfair. Can you imagine if that happend in football, the FA would be all over that to get to the bottom of it. But this is horse racing , which expects to attract newcomers to the sport

FANTASTIC POST.
July 21, 2010 at 23:05 #307834Hi All
Although certainly never a Fallon fan, I wonder if he is okay at the moment
He, imho, isn’t riding well this season, and as earlier posters have highlighted, he has never been the most gifted in switching hands with the whip. This is further compounded by the fact that he has regularly dropped the thing in races when he has been touched off.
He , as I have previously posted, regularly misses the break, dwelt etc. and this aggravates further
Kieren’s strength, imo, was always his finish, which also seems to be a diminishing factor.
Anyone suggesting he is a tactical genius, imo, is having a laugh.
His list of rides is certainly drying up, especially in top grade racing.
At the start of the season he was encouraging Dettori, to be rivalling himself and Moore over the jockeys championship. That seems a long time ago.July 23, 2010 at 15:39 #308093Cracking ride by Fallon there!
Hanoverian Baron, cheers Kieran
