Backed TS @ 16/1 for the Commonwealth Cup. Not a penny on today. Made a mental note to keep an eye on the market to see if more was expected. But by the time I’d got up and put the computer on at around 9:30… he’d halved in price!

O’Brien says TS took time to get over the Guineas. Might be right, but I think there is something they’re not admitting. Difference may also have something to do with tactics. Uncomfortable and didn’t seem to enjoy being surrounded by rivals at Ascot, couldn’t use his long stride. Today, out in front – no problem.
Value Is EverythingJuly 13, 2019 at 22:05 #1448564Well done Ten Sovereign backers
He made it look sooo easy.
Limato plum last that was too bad to be true
Was sitting outside the weighing room/ winners enclosure having coffee after the racing with the après-disco belting out behind us, when Frankie came out looking very dapper in his Armani suit and Gucci tie but face as miserable as sin he was obviously disappointed about Advertise not winning the big race but still a constant flow of fans hijacked him as he made his way out and he patiently posed for some selfies with racegoers and hugged a granny who was starstruck to have met him…meantime while all this was going on Ryan Moore slipped out of the weighing room clutching his bottle of Moet and prizes for winning the July Cup, passed through the crowd with not the offer of a selfie in sight and slipped quietly back to the car park I would imagine that was just the way he liked it.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 14, 2019 at 09:24 #1448579Absolutely incredible day that, I can’t remember a time when a horse tumbled like that in Group1? Was so exciting to be on at 10s and I just kept going in more and more plus a couple of doubles with Beat The Bank. Even the fact the money dried up on course made me go in again as I thought that must’ve pointed even more to money steaming down from the yard and connections early in the morning. I completely buy AOBs explanation, plus the ground was rattling quick yesterday and it wasn’t at all at Ascot. He’s potentially the most exciting horse of the season so far now, it’s been my only wow moment thats for sure. Unfortunately all the gloss was taken off the day when I heard about BTB. Really really sad. I’m so pleased for connections he didn’t get nabbed on the line though, at least he’s gone a hero, really typical gutsy win and they can always remember him well.
A 1,2,4 for me in the race and Pretty Pollyanna would’ve possibly been a bit closer with a Better start. Really interested to see who ends up the better filly from Fairyland and Pretty Pollyanna now, it’s a good debate that one.
July 15, 2019 at 11:35 #1448614Well done guys with Ten Sovereigns, very impressive.
July 16, 2019 at 02:59 #1448661Reminded me of Mozart. Always travelling well and strode clear. The quick ground and distance ideal. A tremendous stallion prospect now for coolmore though I think he will be popular with other breeders. Seems to be able to quicken then quicken again. A wow mont definitely.
