As expected, a top drawer entry for this, but fraught with danger Antepost, with Royal Ascot on the horizon…

With that in mind, I’m a bit reluctant to spend too much time on it right now, as we should know plenty more in a fortnight.
Of those at the head of the market, well this looks tailor made for Ten Sovereigns, but like so many of them, will he go, while not that much further down the list, well I could make a case for Dream of Dreams.
I sneaked into Hamilton the other day just to catch the race with Brando and Donjuan Triumphant, and they didn’t disappointment (the only disappointment being that I didn’t bet). Brando has a GP1 to his name, and with him swerving Royal Ascot, the 20’s looks big, but there’s just that niggle over his consistency, while ground conditions would be crucial for Donjuan Triumphant. If he got his ground, then he could easily sneak a place in this, and he’s a whopping 66’s.
Another who could sneak a place here is Sir Dancealot, ran very well in it last year, and with four places readily available on the day for this now, then he could be one for nearer the time.
As I said though, not one for going mad on right now, so many of them in action over the coming weeks, but last word to the one I really like for this right now. Pretty Pollyanna. Yes, she’s another with an entry at Royal Ascot, over a few yards short of a mile in The Coronation Stakes, and this would give concerns, not only with Ascot being the probable priority, but also the fact that that’s the trip she’s now being campaigned at. Still, her win here last year, over 6f, in The Duchess of Cambridge, is still fresh in the memory, and it’s not out of the question that they could step her back. Risky, but the 33’s sways me. Not a race I’d go mad on, day of race, never mind Antepost, but 33’s is 33’s, and I’ll have a go each way, for all that there are some very big names in there.
Pretty Pollyanna 33’s Each Way
June 19, 2019 at 18:45 #1446020KHAADEM 16/1 for me he run big race at Ascot i think can win but if not every chance here as well as love july course at Newmarket
June 19, 2019 at 22:48 #1446065Good luck with him Darren, I’m close to adding another, and I’ll probably bet him next 24 hours…..
Sir Dancealot 40’s
June 23, 2019 at 15:39 #1446803Advertise seems the obvious one for me.
Blue Point is superb + is the best sprinter about, don’t care what people say about Battash. However, BP hasn’t won at Newmarket before, and he seemed to drop off after Ascot last year, so there’s every chance that’ll happen again this year. If she runs, Fairyland could be interesting.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!June 24, 2019 at 12:27 #1446873With Blue Point off to put his feet up, Advertise is now the favourite. Funny, i was just after reading that Meade suggested France for Advertise, but that he had this as an option. Considering i’ve taken 6/1 on him, i wasn’t pleased to hear France. Hopefully Blue Point not running pushes them this way..

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!June 24, 2019 at 12:55 #1446883Meade has got to be tempted to srnd Advertise here!!
Now Blue Point has gone I’m keen on my other TTF horse Fairyland. But she is not by a Coolmore stallion and Ten Sovereigns is, so will they let her take her chance or persist with TS till he has proved he’s not up to it, and tiddle about with mares races and group 2s for her? Not saying she would win but if they’re going to let TS try again in a 6f Group One, she deserves a go too, having run on strongly at the end of a higher quality race over 5f.June 24, 2019 at 13:43 #1446895Shame Too Darn Hot appears not to have trained on; but that Dewhurst is looking super form:
2nd Advertise, 3rd Anthony Van Dyck, 4th Sangarius.Advertise improved at Ascot, but so too did Dream Of Dreams. Beat all bar Blue Point fairly easily and is also on the up. Personally I’d have DOD ahead of A in the market.
Dream Of Dreams 6/1

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 1, 2019 at 13:32 #1447401I’ve got 2 selections for this, Ten Sovereigns at 12-1, and Fairyland at 16-1. I’ll only bet one of them right now, but completely undecided. I think that both of them are generous odds.
July 2, 2019 at 01:15 #1447434I think Limato could win a second July Cup as he loves Newmarket so much but think Henry Candy is going to campaign him over 7 furlongs now and in his absence I’m going for
INVINCIBLE ARMY
8/1
The way he won at Newcastle on Saturday shows that he will get the stiff 6 furlongs at Newmarket, he had Limato behind him at York when he won the Group 2 Duke of York Stakes on good to firm ground in May. Before that he won a 6f Listed race at Doncaster.
As a 2yo he won over 6 furlongs on the July Course leading after 1 furlong to be pushed clear and win by 5 lengths..his last win showed how much he loves to front run and how hard it is to catch him when he is in that sort of form and I’m hoping he can repeat that Saturday week at Newmarket.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 2, 2019 at 12:29 #1447436Fairyland for me had a few quid at 16/1
She got outpaced slightly in the king stands before plugging on at the end suggesting 6f should be her ideal trip
She will be getting tonnes of weight off many of the horses and is very unexposed at the highest level over sprint trips
To perform so well being thrown into the king stands over 5f having run over a mile both previous runs this season makes me think she has a bright future as a sprinter
Just hope this is obreins target for her
July 3, 2019 at 23:53 #1447521Just seen fairyland has an entry in the prix Jean prat on sunday
Hopefully she doesnt run as her participation in this would be very unlikely
July 4, 2019 at 12:00 #1447543Fairyland taken out of the French race. Looks like all systems go for Newmarket now
July 4, 2019 at 12:36 #1447545I’ve taken a bit more of the 33’s on Pretty Pollyanna. Just think it’s too big a price for her.
Still looking to add another, and I can see the appeal with Fairyland.
I’ll wait for the five day decs though now.
July 8, 2019 at 12:50 #1448001Invincible army being aimed at the prix maurice de gheest instead
