There’s only about 4-5mm forecast for tomorrow, I don’t think it will get any worse than GS will it with 5mm max?
I think Kameko will run on GS, as they seem desperate to get a run into him before Ascot for some reason, possibly they gave him a break after York?
Benbatl on GS might get withdrawn, what will they do with him after that though, what is the long term plan for him anyone now? Down to Oz? I still think GS he’ll run.
Wind tomorrow is NW, which correct me if I’m wrong Jac, will come across the track, so not as bad as head on.
Zabeel Prince I couldn’t go anywhere near Jack, his form has fallen off a cliff for a while now. No apparent reason why he should suddenly bounce back into winning a Grp2 form?
Top Rank is the one outside the front 2, but even on GS, it looks surely all about the front 2 in the market, they look well clear of the others.
September 24, 2020 at 13:56 #1503085I think we are looking at different metoffice sites. Heavy rain 9am-12am 80%-90% likely?!
Another site i use yr.no forecasts 12.4mm as well. Considering they’ve had rain, i think it’ll definitely cause it too soften.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!September 24, 2020 at 14:19 #1503091The BBC says more rain, but weather on line isn’t showing much, so it’s a case of wait and see what happens and which met company is right.
September 25, 2020 at 00:04 #1503183Yes my mistake Frenchy it was the rain coming in from the North East and NW wind as you said. either way its not ideal and hope Benbatl stays in the race.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 25, 2020 at 07:48 #1503192A forecast I use has almost double that. It depends where you look, it often ends up being somewhere in between.
It certainly has, in the hope of lots of rain falling I mentioned him- it’s his course form and ability to run on a soft surface that caught my eye as a potential one to cause an upset. It might just be that it all clicks at once, when the main rivals are inconvenienced by some rain…. who knows

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!September 25, 2020 at 09:19 #1503199Did you do him ante post Jack? I reckon Benbatl and Kameko could get pulled here as it’s looking like it might go soft now. Although if they want to learn whether Kameko has a chance in the QEII on soft this is the race to do it in now.
September 25, 2020 at 09:24 #1503200I didn’t so potential rule4s incomingggg! Only a small bet though!

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!September 25, 2020 at 10:15 #1503209Looks like Benbatl and Kameko are still running with the doing the same as yesterday. From 5am to 8.30am only 3mm of rain fell with it clearing this morning to leave a dry day. The money has certainly come for top rank with easier ground.
September 25, 2020 at 10:21 #1503210Raining all day at Newmarket on the BBC site. Some non runners are coming through, I expect some more as the morning progresses.
September 25, 2020 at 10:23 #1503211Where’d you get this from Mike? Tv or where?

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!September 25, 2020 at 10:28 #1503212Dukes of Hazzard and Urban Icon out so far (Reason: Going), so the rain must’ve got in the ground and it not finished yet.
September 25, 2020 at 10:37 #1503213Jack I Got it from the Newmarket going report, it is dry there now according to met office observations. I hardly ever trust the BBC since they got rid of the met office.

I am not surprised by the withdrawals, Urban icon needs it G/F or better and Dukes of Hazzard needs on more on the firm side of good.
September 25, 2020 at 10:40 #1503214The thejockeyclub going report is from 8:30am am I right?
September 25, 2020 at 10:44 #1503215Yes from 8.30. We will see what happens as the morning progresses.
September 25, 2020 at 10:47 #1503216I don’t go off one place, as nowhere is 100% right. I look at them all instead, so when someone says “this is what they got” for example, i presume it’s from something very recent from the track- if not, then i’ll wait for coverage at the track for the true going + weather.
Ista is right 8.30am is not accurate as of 10.47….

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!September 25, 2020 at 10:52 #1503217I have just looked at the weather radar on weather in line and it shows no rain in the area and that is at 10.40am, the rain is to the east.
September 25, 2020 at 11:19 #1503219BBC says good chance of rain throughout the day
Metoffice 90% 2pm to 4pm
