Last price matched on Betfair for Yorkhill 9/1 but no news if he is being rerouted to Champion Hurdle.

Yorkhill’s hit 11/1 and Bellshill is down to 11/1. Am I dreaming?

If Yorkhill does go for the Champion Hurdle, Cloudy Dream at 130 wouldn’t be the worst bet in the world. You’d need him to turn up, which is probably a 55/45 shot vs the Arkle (although that might also have changed with this Min news), but if he did he’s a 16/1 shot at worst. £8 there at 130 if anybody wants it.

I fancy Politologue for the JLT. Don’t think he lost too much in defeat LTO and I think he is improving and learning. My main concern is his 2 previous runs at Cheltenham. Willing to forgive as but for an error in his first run, I think he would have been right there.

Yes exactly, he would have been bang there with North Hill Harvey were it not for a very dodgy swerve. He got outpaced in the Coral Cup on quick ground IMO.

Yorkhill seems quite stable now on the exchange. Still not convinced he runs in this though!

    I should of cashed out.

I think this race is probably the easiest win. The Arkle will be much tougher.

If he is not being schooled for Hurdles now then I’d say there’s no chance he will turn up in the Champion Hurdle. Surely if he was being schooled for Hurdles that would be out and the markets would reflect it? Maybe I’m wrong

My guess is he stays over fences and it’s either here or The Arkle. Personally, I think his jumping isn’t good enough for the Arkle but he is definitely quick enough and has the class. Willie will want the win and with that in mind I’d say he’ll stay here. If Willie thinks he can win The Arkle with Yorkhill and the JLT with Bleu Et Rouge or American Tom I think he could come away with neither.

The reason why yorkhill was unstable last night was because the 5 day entry stage for a 2.5 mile grade 1, novice chase at leopardstown was yesterday and yorkhill wasnt declared but bellshill was. That is the reason for the drift. It wasn’t likely that yorkhill would run in that race either way so I wouldn’t worry

Winner of the Neptune Novices’ Hurdle last March, Yorkhill embarked on his novice chase career this season, making a successful debut at Fairyhouse in December before following up when switched to Grade Three company at Leopardstown last time.

Mullins has lost his leading Champion Hurdle contenders Faugheen and Annie Power to injury in recent weeks, but he has no intention of supplementing Yorkhill for the highlight of the opening day at this stage.

“I’m happy to keep him over fences,” Mullins told the Irish Times.

“It’s his novice year. We could seriously have a think about putting him back over hurdles next season if we want to. But at the moment we’re not thinking like that.

“At the moment the Champion Hurdle is not part of our plan,”
