Do horses kill livestock just for the thrill of it?
In my opinion horses are not pests, Mickey.

    What “farming background”?

That’s why I stick with good old TMS

But even that’s not what it was is it? Agnew well past his sell by date (which is a shame as I used to really like him) Norcross trying to convince himself that he’s a hybrid of John Arlott and Henry Blofeld when frankly he’s not, Graeme Swann desperate to get his “hilarious” impersonations in (which is another shame as when he talks about cricket he’s superb). Michael Vaughan – obsessed with the fancy dress people in the crowd, knows little of cricket’s history. Having said that Isa Guha and Alison Mitchell are both good and I always enjoy listening to Jeremy Coney when he’s the overseas pundit. Vic Marks is good too as is Sir Alistair Cook.

Sorry I’ve gone off track a bit.

Jeremy Coney and Alison Mitchell are both very good. The rest are OK at best – but I do not like Michael Vaughan very much.

Tms still by far the best way to let an afternoon go by. Tuffers can be a bit dull and Swann a bit too critical but overall still great listening. Isa is just deelightful and I love aggers resigned tones when he’s looking at another England defeat. Michael Vaughan imho a great addition to team.

Why is Kevin Blake in his suit and tie? He’s at home, for crying out loud; he can come on in his pyjamas if he wants to.

    I certainly would.

When Cheltenham was on I think they made a joke about him being in his boxers under the desk . He always dresses smartly on race day- they all do which I quite like.

I have a lot of time for Kevin Blake, I think he’s great. I’ve liked him ever since Cheltenham a few years ago when Chapman et al were waxing lyrical about Getabird, he is bomb proof, he will win on the snaff, all that crap. Blake calmly put in that the horse had to prove he could go left handed and he would oppose him.

I like him too. Sticks to the point, no waffle and generally makes very good points. If he wants to dress up for Ascot, that’s up to him.

Peak Cumani today. Barely able to string a sentence together at times and a day too late when describing Desert Encounter as Bless Him. Do they not even provide her with the day’s card?

As for the “fashion experts”. I have no interest in fashion but concede it is part of Royal Ascot. I can’t really imagine those tuning in for the fashion will be enjoying all the shots of them feeding their faces & drinking fizz though.

Is any else fed up with Lady Swinley! The whole segment is puerile, do think any one would be interested.
The bit about sectional timing was good though and useful.

Agree Crepello. Can’t work out what the Lady Swinley business is all about at all. Seems completely pointless.

The way they are building up Stradivarius really is putting the mockers on him I fear.

Is it just me that I thought Stradivarius looked a bit sleepy in the preliminaries? The horse had an expression on his face as if to say “I don’t really wanna be here”.

Ed’s initiative seems to be failing, doesn’t it? Each day so far, nowhere near the 300k entries needed to raise the jackpot to even the first boosted level. Shame – it’s a nice try to increase the TV audience.
    Two possible reasons:-
    a) ITV isn’t supporting the move by plugging it during non-racing airtime (possibly for fear of upsetting the anti-gambling Puritans).
    b) most people are more interested in the kick-ball…

The persistence with the Lady Swinley theme is puzzling to say the least.
