Lostintranslation run in the King George should be ignored in my opinion. He wasn’t going that day. I think they can easily fix that and win or lose on Gold Cup day he’ll run better. Remember a good horse can run the occasional bad race, but a poor horse can’t run a good race.
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.February 2, 2020 at 11:54 #1481713I’ve had a bit on Bellshill at 50s ew NRNB on the basis that if he runs well today that could be decent value, and if he doesn’t then he could perhaps skip Cheltenham whilst they try to get him sweetened up for Punchestown which is his main target.
February 2, 2020 at 21:34 #1481799Delta Work winning today boosts last years RSA form with Santini
think it will be between the pair of themCharles Darwin to conquer the World
February 3, 2020 at 19:54 #1481891Nicky Henderson on Santini:
“He’s only been beaten once over fences, and that was by three-quarters of a length in the RSA…”
Obviously forgotten all about the Feltham, then.
February 4, 2020 at 12:49 #1481935He’s talking about when they were trying
Charles Darwin to conquer the World
February 4, 2020 at 16:12 #1481961…or at courses that played to his strengths,,,
February 8, 2020 at 15:11 #1482414God I love Native River , just a big uncomplicated gallopher , in better heart than last year he might get tapped on good ground but if it’s a bit softer then he,s in the mix
February 8, 2020 at 15:19 #1482416Was great to see him win but hes just not the horse he was for me
If secret investor could jump hed have got a lot closer
Unless its bottomless ground he will be very vulnerable to the younger horses at Cheltenham
Nevertheless is always good to see the old warriors like native river giving there all
February 8, 2020 at 15:25 #1482418If you watch at the end he actually won with plenty in hand , the farther you go the better he is …..I’ve had a few bets at nice prices for the national , FF he,s still only 10 lol , not quite slippers time yet ….where does Henderson go with Might Bite ….does he have any chelt entries …me I’d be tempted to go stayers hurdle
February 8, 2020 at 16:43 #1482433Might Bite in the stayers hurdle? There would be room to fit two or three hurdles in under his toes, the way he jumps now. He looks as if he thinks the fences will eat him.
February 8, 2020 at 16:53 #1482435Would have jumped round in the 1973 Grand National they way he ballooned them today.
February 9, 2020 at 07:24 #1482476Understand what your saying about the jumping it’s just Henderson did something similar with Bobs Worth
February 9, 2020 at 10:06 #1482486Native River did what he had to do. Got in close to some of the fences, but in the end won quite easily. If we get a rainy March he surely will be in the mix.
February 9, 2020 at 21:58 #1482529Just one thought about Lostintranslation: from the 9 horses that finished 2nd (and also another 9 that came 3rd) in the history of the JLT ALL OF THEM are professional non-stayers.
Bristol de Mai might be the exception, but apart from being excellent at Haydock, he never looked like a future GC winner.
February 18, 2020 at 17:27 #1483228Happy to see Mark Walsh confirmed for Delta Work, he’d probably have been my first choice anyway, so fingers crossed.
February 18, 2020 at 18:22 #1483240A professional non-stayer? What’s that mean lol.
February 19, 2020 at 11:42 #1483276Native River a non-runner, suspensory tendon injury.
