15 points @ 9/1 (B365) Tenor Nivernais (min 10/1)Value Is EverythingJanuary 2, 2017 at 11:51 #1279844Ginge, if you’re after another one of those, Buveur D’Air is 7/1 to win any race at the Festival. The only way he goes off longer than 7/1 is if he, Yorkhill, Altior + Min run in the Arkle.
Sorry Zark, didn’t see this before Buveur D’Air ran.
Wouldn’t be too put off by the unimpressive win, seemed to get flustered by the barging match on the home turn. Probably go for the JLT unless anything happens to Altior. What concerns me with “to win any race” is, if running in the Arkle not sure he’s good enough, where as at this stage have a doubt about the JLT trip.Value Is EverythingJanuary 2, 2017 at 11:55 #1279847Stuggling for concentration with the change to insulin and am convinced that’s having a bad influence on my betting. So going to have a break and close the thread down.

January 4, 2017 at 09:52 #1280178I think you are being a bit hard on yourself. By all means take a break but I think the poor day at Cheltenham was inevitable given the outsiders winning. I don’t think form study would have identified Shantou Flyer or Agrapart as good value. Maybe the rain affected the form. I think some horses like mud being kicked in their faces less than others.
January 4, 2017 at 10:19 #1280183keep going GT i know we have had our differences but i enjoy your views thoughts. We all have these horror runs,as well as doing the work you have to be mentally tough as well. You believe in what you are doing so just keep believing,i am sure you will turn it around.
Good luck whatever you choose
January 4, 2017 at 11:36 #1280191Good luck with the medication Ginge.I know it can effect the way you think.I am on a good cocktail of tablets and have backed a 15 year old Working Title my only bet today.Maybe I should take a break.Best Wishes
If you go to back a certainty always buy a return ticket.
January 4, 2017 at 13:48 #1280204It’s not a bad idea to take a break until you’ve adjusted to insulin but on the other hand I think everyone has been struggling since Boxing Day, I’m about 15% off my season high, and results sometimes go through these spells. Stick to your methods! Good luck & best wishes, Chris.

Ginge nobody has maintained the discipline to their ‘system’ better than you pal.You have proved it works for you so dont go blaming medication for just being S*it at picking winners recently…You are better than that.
