Fanny looks to go to Goodwood. Gosden said she is entered for Ascot but is likely to go to Goodwood for the Nassau stakes.
July 22, 2020 at 23:14 #1494720cant get too excited over a 4 runner king george! ballydoyle trio will start half an hour before – just an exercise gallop for enable. thought this race was the pinnacle of the summer racing? it isnt ths year im afraid.
July 23, 2020 at 07:50 #1494732Not denying it’s a little disappointing but it’s still a great race between 4 good horses. Enable, a Derby winner an Irish Derby Winner and a dual Grp1 winner + 4th in the Arc. It’s a cracking line up as 4 horse lines up go!
July 23, 2020 at 07:51 #1494733I’ve also somehow managed to pick every horse antipost in the race bar Enable! That’s never happened before! Cue..Enable wins by 5 lengths!!
July 23, 2020 at 10:19 #1494745It is indeed a fascinating race. It could be very informative re the rest of the season. Enable on all form lines should win though I think it will be very close. Japan is obviously improving and the arc is in his sights. Avd looks like he’ll get his going so may be there at the finish. Surely his target is the breeders cup where hopefully he gets a good draw. Finally sovereign is definitely a threat if allowed to get away but will coolmore just want to win the race or just japan. I’ve a feeling sovereign will get an easy lead and will really test the other three. If enable is beaten I hope they retire her. She owes nobody nothing.
July 23, 2020 at 10:30 #1494746One UK runner and zero UK colts is a disgrace frankly.
If Enable gets chinned in this (unlikely) why on earth would you want her retired? Only in racing do it’s sports supporters seem so keen NOT to see their stars in action. Do you have a Dam percentage?

July 23, 2020 at 13:28 #1494754Absolutely – and no three year olds. Ideal opportunity for those who supposedly didn’t handle Epsom to redeem themselves and at least pick up some place money. Not as if they had to be supplemented
July 23, 2020 at 13:59 #1494759I have been following horse racing for 14 odd years and this has to be the worst showing for such a big event.
Only 4 runners (With 3 from same stable)?
No 3 year olds?
Only 1 British horse in one of the most prestigious British race?
I would have expected likes of English King, Piledriver etc to participate here.
But looks like most didnt bother to turn up looking at Ballydoyle batallion.
July 23, 2020 at 14:33 #1494761I did Japan Ante Post each way
Bound to finish 4th now..
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 23, 2020 at 21:56 #1494786I think we have to accept it’s got a lot to with Enable as well surely? This is what I don’t get with horse racing fans over superstars. It’s actually boring. Look at how many horses used to turn up against Frankel sometimes. He was 1/20 I think for the Sussex once. That what people want to see?!
Take English King for example. Why gamble to take on Enable when he can be targeted at a more winnable race to get his head in front again.
Ballydoyle always get too much stick! If Enable wasn’t running here I bet more would have turned up.
July 23, 2020 at 22:07 #1494787I don’t know tbh. She is always hyped to the eyeballs but has never looked infallible. Gets on my wick tbf, especially with Dettori twittering on about “his girl” every half an hour. Would edging Crystal Ocean frighten you if you truly had faith in your horse?
Need a few more Clive Britain type attitudes. Give it a go ffs.

July 23, 2020 at 22:22 #1494789Its a combo of taking on enable and the considerably lower prize pot
July 24, 2020 at 00:16 #1494795The tatling cheeckly you are talking rubbish. The horse has won the oaks two arcs two king George and you say she is hyped. I don’t know any horse who has achieved what Enabled has achieved. I am sure she will make history and win 3 king Georges. Enable is a super filly of the likes never seen before, just like Frankel.
July 24, 2020 at 00:18 #1494797I will tell everybody on this forum the race is what it is. Lets us enjoy it.
July 24, 2020 at 00:49 #1494800I’ve seen plenty of better Filly’s. For example, she wouldn’t have seen which way Zarkava or Bosra Sham went I wouldn’t have thought.
Only my opinion keep your hair on Micky! Thanks for telling “everyone on this forum” the crack though! What’s happened to this place????
An admirable, consistent, top-class distaff. That far clear as to frighten off the opposition? Not for me.

July 24, 2020 at 00:54 #1494801Frankie planning on riding Enable up front tomorrow so hoping for an all the way win for Enable and the Coolmore 3 sorting out the remaining prize money.
Hoping she’ll take this easily on her way to her 3rd Arc.
No bets laid on just watching and enjoying this one.

Talking of top class fillies
Ouija Board was my top filly of all time along with Triptych of course.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 24, 2020 at 01:42 #1494804TTC I have looked at the filly’s and in there day they were top but we are in 2020 and we have to deal with horses running now. Back in 1988 I told everybody I knew to back Kahyasi for the Derby, I saw the horse win the lingfield derby trial. The horse went from last to first in a few strides. They say that was a bad Derby winner but it was a second faster then the Derby winner this year. On the winnings I took my wife on a lovely holiday.
