Absolute belter of a ride from Tom Marquand there on young rascal, glad I stayed up
Got him across into the perfect sit from stall 11 and then was very strong at the finish to out battle the short priced fav
Was just flicking through the racing post earlier and noticed the group 1s in Australia and that marquand was riding 2 for haggas
May have a bet on addeybb but will wait to see what price he is closer to the race as I could’ve got 7/1 on young rascal

Would’ve preferred more cut in the ground but this looks a guilt edge chance to win a first group 1 for this horse
He runs anything like he did at royal ascot or behind magical in the champion stakes he will have a great chance

Will have to make sure I keep my eye on both horses as they have other targets in Australia

I’ve seen mentioned before that the aussie public usually don’t have much knowledge about the GB & irish horses so they don’t bet on them, instead sticking with the aussie horses, making the GB & irish drift out

up in trip and without cash back setting a very very strong pace I am hopeful he can reverse form with zero ten and out run his odds

Addeybb in particular keeps getting shorter, hoping that closer to the race he gets a bit bigger

Marquand got both him and young rascal in the perfect position, as he had a few weeks ago, but I’m not sure young rascal stayed 2 miles
He travelled into it strongly but didn’t find much if anything for pressure
This lad is very very good in my opinion and hopefully he starts to get more top rides when we get back racing over here

I am with you regarding Young Rascal FF, just didn’t get home and stopped very quickly.
I think they were planning to aim him at the Melbourne cup, youd imagine that would be shelved now
It was a silly bet really as he was very short, if we weren’t so starved of racing no way I’d have backed him at that price
But it’s hard not to back horses that did you a favour in their previous race sometimes
