June 7, 2020 at 15:49 #1490104Think I’m going to stop bothering with the thread
Tried 4 times over the last few days to put up a horse shortly before the race only to be unable to get on to the site due to the issues
Typically 3 of them won
£10 on renaissance queen
£10 lay of waldkonig
£10 on space blues
£10 on quadrilateral was the loserI may change my mind but those winners wouldve topped me up nicely
June 7, 2020 at 19:14 #1490127I hate when that happens, luckily they were short priced winners so not too bad!
best thing to do is to make sure to back the horse first and then write it down here
June 7, 2020 at 20:44 #1490130I did back them
Just annoyed me after all the horses iv put up on here this week lost I was unable to put up the couple that did and the successful lay
I have to say the ride rab havlin gave fanny logan didnt help that mood in the first place, then to have a few quid on space blues and not be able to add it to my profit/loss added to that
The point of the thread though was to make me more disciplined, which on the whole I am, been some time since I tried to chase my losses which happened too often before I started tracking each bet
I will continue to track all my bets as it is very helpful
June 7, 2020 at 20:58 #1490133Yes I hate seeing when the jockeys give away a cheap lead (except when I backed the frontrunner myself of course)
Might be best to reduce stakes for early season bets as the form and fitness is unknown, I’d be thinking roi for the first couple of weeks in horse racing is poor (on average) because of this
June 20, 2020 at 22:28 #1491533Crazy how my luck changed once I stopped this
Iv had the best royal ascot iv ever had and just withdrawn a significant amount of profit from my accounts
Gone through all my best this week and I had 11 winners and 3 e/w placed in the 26 races I had a bet on
Dont think I will ever repeat that in my entire life
Maybe this thread was cursing me with bad luck and stopping has let the winners flow hahahaha
July 13, 2020 at 10:40 #1493773maybe if you changed the thread name to “final furlongs fabulous flutters” you might have better success, having failed in the title might be whats making it unlucky haha
July 13, 2020 at 22:17 #1493811You should give it another go ff91 + take some confidence from the great Royal Ascot that you had.
