This was an outstanding performance from Ms Price – she is to singing what Stevie Wonder was (or would have been) to F1 Grand Prix driving.
My ear drums bled for less than half an hour.
As with Ms Hopkins, the lady exudes: caring, compassion and, above all, morality.

2nd semi-final tonight.
Much weaker affair than Tuesday, and a couple of countries who get through tonight might be runners in the ‘to finish last’ markets for the big one (though Germany will probably go off favourites).
Sweden should win this semi-final with no fuss, arguably the strongest song in the competition (certainly with Italy’s questionable staging).
I’d have the qualifiers as follows:
1) Sweden
2) Poland
3) Serbia
4) Australia
5) Estonia
6) Czech Republic
7) Azerbaijan
8) Cyprus
9) San Marino
10) BelgiumI think those last 3 spots are all up for grabs. Finland are a terrible price, Tuesday demonstrated that the jury punish weak vocals. They have been dismal in that department for the last fortnight. Malta’s song sounds so dated, and Emma’s vocals appeared compromised in rehearsal by a dance routine which was questionable at best. Romania is a borderline qualifier for me, it’s suitably camp and has an irritatingly catchy chorus.
Of the remainder, Israel would need things to fall their way from a bad draw. Montenegro is bound to pick up some points with Serbia in this semi, but will be very reliant on a strong jury vote (indeed wouldn’t surprise me if 12 points from Serbia was the only jury 12 points to go to anyone who isn’t Australia/Poland/Sweden here).
Georgia probably won’t qualify, the song could have been quite interesting but it gets too repetitive. North Macedonia has no chance, just hope she doesn’t get arrested on her return (massive furore about her dropping the flag during a photo chute).
Can’t stress enough how bad Ireland are. They will probably come last or 2nd last depending on North Macedonia’s score.
Summary: Laying Finland to qualify is the value here.
