It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"May 18, 2022 at 19:50 #1598463There was me thinking that Sir Chezza’s Hampshire pile came with its own 10,000 seat arena for special occasions such as this.
I’ll reserve a spot in the kitchen, always the place to be at parties.
May 18, 2022 at 20:43 #1598467Parties?
Who said anything about a party??!!
I’m starting to feel I know how Bilbo Baggins must have felt in “An Unexpected Party” at the start of The Hobbit!
Ok, I’ve got Nathan and son sat on the edge of a bed, Richard in the kitchen, that’s already broken the previous record gate, I’m starting to wish I’d never won now!

Probably not the first Eurovision winner to express that sentiment!
I’ll leave the biscuit tin alone, promise
May 18, 2022 at 22:35 #1598474I thought the kitchen was your place, ID
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.May 18, 2022 at 23:15 #1598475No words, literally no words.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"May 21, 2022 at 10:51 #1598664It has been – somewhat depressingly – suggested to me that Finland might be a good ante-post bet for Eurovision 2023.
It’s the “They’re Next” theory at work.

Coup in Russia.
New leader.
Everyone wants to give their approval.Value Is EverythingMay 21, 2022 at 17:21 #1598762Change of management or not I think Russia is damaged goods for a fair while yet. It’s a lay for me at this stage.
May 22, 2022 at 10:50 #1598805Last time UK won was shortly after the Euro-hated Tories lost and Tony Blair came to power.
If Putin is overthrown…
Value Is EverythingMay 22, 2022 at 11:25 #1598809Whilst I can only applaud the comparison between the dictatoral regimes of Vlad and the Tories, Love Shine a Light was also a brilliant song, perfect Eurovision stuff. Good song, UK does well.
Most of the people of Europe couldn’t care less if we are ruled by the Tories or not, even now.
May 22, 2022 at 11:54 #1598813According to Graham Norton the order of the singer is important too. Those in the middle tend to get overlooked, especially if there’s nothing special about their song. Didn’t watch the show myself as I was out at a do that night, but Germany only got points from the telly audience. Then only six points. Which is where we was last year, except we didn’t get those six points.

Don't mess with mister in between.May 22, 2022 at 12:42 #1598824Like Richard I wonder if your average Eurovision voter or jury member can distinguish between the politics of a Tony Blair or, say, a David Cameron.
You might just about be able to squeeze a rizla paper between them.
That said, Ukraine could have been anywhere in the running order – or not even bothered to perform at all – and they still would have won.
If anyone assassinates Putin, seizes control of Russia, ends this insane War and then personally applies to go on Eurovision 2023 to perform their own version of: “I shot the Putin” they’ll have my ante-post support.

May 22, 2022 at 14:19 #1598831I had to look that one up Cork, but yes, with great gusto.
