Mick Jazz out
March 17, 2017 at 11:45 #1293017Ok guys, some of you wanted to know who I think wins this. Well…it’s been made a lot easier with the defection of Mick Jazz!
IVANOVICH GORBATOV
I can see him winning by a furlong
March 17, 2017 at 11:46 #1293018Tell Us More and Diego Du Charmil for me
Really fancy them
Diego Du Charmil, last year’s FRED WINTER winner (you know, the 4yo handicap for horses who aren’t good enough to even run in the Triumph) has to GIVE weight to last year’s Triumph Hurdle winner. I mean it’s just laughable.
This will just be a procession.
March 17, 2017 at 11:49 #12930191st Ivanovich Gorbatov
2nd Apple’s Jade (-7lb) (1.25L). 1st Gr1 Mares’ Hurdle.
3rd Footpad (7.25L). 4th Champion Hurdle.
4th Let’s Dance (-7lb) (16L?). 1st Gr2 Mares’ Novice Hurdle.Unless something is horribly wrong, this horse is about 1 1/2 stone well-in.

He hasn’t come close to a victory in his 7 races after the Trimuph last year. Seems to me like he didn’t make any progress.
March 17, 2017 at 12:10 #1293025The best 2 mile hurdler to run this week is running in this race. Arctic fire is 11 pounds lower than his peak and maybe the 13 months off means he might have regressed but I’d be willing to have a small each way bet on him

You are simple-minded.
March 17, 2017 at 14:12 #12930585/1 is no price for Joey’s horse here
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Class is permanent
March 17, 2017 at 14:20 #1293060Class act wins the races, well done Faugheen’s old pal and his backers.
Mine went out like a light half way round.
Silly odds on the favourite there. Madness.

That’s going to hurt…
Lesson for Cheltenham – it pays to be on a horse ridden by an experienced jockey.
March 17, 2017 at 14:22 #1293063I don’t really fancy anything much here, and can’t see anything lurking down the weights that seem well handicapped. As such, I’m going to get on the top 4: Arctic Fire 25/1, Lami Serge 33/1, Renneti 14/1 & Ivanovich Gorbatov 11/1 to show their class.
I don’t usually talk about my plans in advance because I usually end up with egg on my face.
Not an egg in sight.

Didn’t see anything wrong with what the jockey did. He is the leading claimer in Ireland this year too. Horse isn’t good enough and has shown all season that he isn’t good enough

Well done Charles, I thought Arctic Fire had too much weight, the stats were against him on that score but good horses get weight and he was/is a good one.

March 17, 2017 at 14:28 #1293067One of my favourite horses in training for a few years now. Lovely to see him win, especially after that crashing fall he had a season or so ago.
March 17, 2017 at 14:35 #1293071The only consolation for me is my Ozzie got beat by the best two horses in the race!!
But boy was I shouting going to the last!!!
March 17, 2017 at 14:37 #1293072And the missus backed the winner too!! grrrrrrrrrrrr!!
