    I’d love to see Native River run a big race. Even as an 11yo, I’d be happy he’s the best horse in the field, but that stable form is a concern. Legend of a horse he’s been, and cannot let him go.

    I would hope that Yorkhill goes to Doncaster, but that doesn’t seem certain. If he did come here, I’d put a few quid his way, but owes me nothing after The Rehearsal

    The other one I’m seriously considering though is The Conditional. Hard to see him winning against this lot, but he’d rarely runs a bad race. Scudamore booked, and he’s not been shy of a few nice winners this season, and confidence should be sky high. The Conditional has a Gold Cup entry, he likes it here, and certainly from an EW angle, he’s a decent price. Should hopefully get a run for my money should he go.

    Tbh I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I saw the weather forecast. Was it worth giving Santini a tough race on bottomless ground at this stage.

    Why didn’t cheltenham cover a specific strip of ground for santini …no wonder Nicky is undecided …. , if Nicky had trained desert orchid he won’t have won a GC or Irish GN ..

    Henderson will do what gets Santini to the Gold Cup in the best shape possibly. Same as Mullins and Al Boum Photo.
