Hope so, i expect they are waiting for the ground. I think this fella is the best 2m chaser in Lavelle’s yard. I was really impressed with him early in the season.

She said we would never see him on unsuitable ground and that good ground was the key to him. May not have the speed to win but he’s proven at Cheltenham and [touch wood] his jumping is pretty good. Very much a forgotten horse imo.

I think there is still scope for something else to muscle it’s way into the Arkle picture, and have therefore had a highly speculative tenner (avg 161) about Nicky Henderson’s Your The Top.

He’s entered in the Lightning Chase at Doncaster this weekend, along with stable-mates Daves Dream and Mad Max. I’m hoping that YTT will represent the yard, though it’s based on no firmer logic than MM ran very recently, and DD disappointed last time.

If YTT does take his chance, I think he has a decent chance of running into the places. He is closely matched with Nomecheki (rated 140) on a line through the useful I Have Dreamed, and has bags of scope to improve further from Newbury.

Things will obviously be tougher if Tataniano and/or Somersby take their chance – it’s a pretty strong-looking set of entries – but You’re The Top has a bit of talent, and whilst I’m not entirely convinced he is an Arkle horse, it’s worth rolling the dice at the odds.

Somersby is only entered because Calgary Bay is going up there to win the Sky Bet Chase! Doncaster is not Somersbys course!Good luck with that one Grass though!

Well Gordon, what can I say? It’s just an utterly, utterly daft quote. McCoy odds-on? The book just makes no sense. How the hell can the jockey who won a Hennessy and Gold Cup on him be 4th favourite, behind even the jockey who’ll ride Kauto. Baffling. If I have a winner on the weekend (come on Carruthers/Trabolgan/3-team football bet!) I’ll be going in on that again to make it a score.

Trabolgan does look well handicapped,he"s getting a stone off the big lad, although Calgary is built to carry it! Sam was a best priced 2/1 last year! 7/1? incredible,i have £30 on just to show my own loyalty!

Well it always takes these horses coming back from injury a few runs to find their feet and Trabolgan’s run in heavy ground in a tough handicap LTO was very promising. Maybe a crack at the William Hill following a good run tomorrow?
