Never be accused of aftertiming again! Wouldn’t that be nice?

No need to make a new post every time. Just edit your post and put a date next to your selection.

Also good idea you use points as an indication to what was a large bet and what was a small bet, indictaing whether you backed to win or EW using 100pts to 5000 pt.

Good idea you give your reasons for backing the horse if you have one. Then maybe we can all get on and make a few quid

solwhit 28/1 £14 e/w champion hurdle- thought it may have come over for the cheltenham festival this year but missed it in favour of aintree was due to be in my ante post plans for the summer but the price was to high before the aintree race and thought he may run a big race in it so took the price ,in the race itself he ran over future than ideal in my book but still beat fivefourthree celestrial halo by a distance (all be it he didnt run his race) and co just think it has a turn of pace as well as being able to get up the hill.

Blunkett…..unless your first name is David, and you are a top-shagging ex-Minister, there can be no excuses for polluting a "Cheltenham Ante-Post" thread with tripe about the Lockinge (whatever the fook that is).

Either reveal yourself, or delete it!

    5 April: Hurricane Fly (Champion Hurdle) 7/1 €25 e/w
    16 April: Cooldine (Gold Cup) 8/1 € 25 e/w

Both are still available at those prices before the accusations of after-timing start flying.

Always on the look out for a horse that stands out I really like this Artic for the Middlepark. He’s a very generous 5/1 with Cashmans so hopefully he can score and boost the Cheltenham bets a bit further.

    ——————————————–

I was so impressed by Dunguib yesterday, for me he’s get the kicthen sink on material. My agent/bookie reckons "I’ve seen em come and seen em go" and he won’t win at Cheltenham……we’ll see.

Too short for Chelters now and maybe I’m crazy but I have backed him with him to win his next 3 races. He only had 2 races last season before the fetival so it’s doubtfull he’ll run 3 more times before Cheltenham but if he does I could be stealing money.

If he wins another 2 novices like that I think he’ll start the shortest priced fav ever for the Supreme..I really think he’s that good.

Conditions are he must run at least twice before Cheltenham or the bet is void.

    40,000 pts win Dunguib 11/2

Not a great price but he could start at 1/7 again in his next 2 then it’s a great price……..Hope he runs him in 3 quickies before xmas he’ll be as sick as a parrot

Haven’t a clue where he will end up but this horse really impressed me, if no on else, until falling in the Steel and Sections yesterday and looks to have a huge future.

Nicky Henderson’s Riverside Theatre is 12/1 for the Arkle while Dave’s Dream is 33/1. The former is a very nice horse but I am assured Dave’s Dream is the one to be on.

Very impressed by Tetlami who looks as if 2 miles will see further improvement worth a few quid ew in the hope it runs. Word is NTD has one for this but can’t find any betting yet.

Seems everything I fancy for the Arkle is falling by the wayside. Was going to back Captain Cee Bee but I’m taking a gamble Mikael D’Haguenet will end up running.

could you send an email or letter to Jonjo, Trevor Hemmings, and the Racing Manager Mick Meagher, suggesting that as Albertas Run isn’t good enough to win the Gold Cup, or at least to beat Kauto Star or Denman, that he should be aimed at the first £1million Grand National instead.

In it, you could mention that as Jonjo trained and campaigned the horse badly this season, that it has a reasonable handicap mark.

This is the record of recent GN winners in the RSA:-
    Comply Or Die 2nd
    Earth Summit 7th
    Rough Quest 4th
    Royal Athlete Fell when favourite
    Miinnehoma 1st.

The latter three also came 2nd, 3rd and 7th in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

(Looking at the situation in reverse, Mon Mome has a good chance of coming 3rd or 4th in the Gold Cup.)

Gerald, just remember he finished 2nd to Kauto in the King George! He
would get top weight in the National!

Fist is making big steps in taking the long walk up that red carpet to be crowned the ante post king of TRF. Remember, the prematurity of anyones selections is everything in the ante post market, and the bold First has put on a good wad of dosh on already !!!

ANte Post King Gordon, we should be expecting a thunder storm of ante posts from you, but so far there’s only been one raindrop. Should us mere peasants in your ante post kingdom be expecting any selections soon ?

Or could a potential king come from out of shot and take the crown ?

This is nothing to do with which horse will win which race, or whether there has been a bet, but did other people think whilst watching the Yorkshire Cup that Blue Bajan might be aimed at the World Hurdle next season?
