August 22, 2010 at 09:59 #314163Is that the teacher who looks after you in Reception class?

I too am a Chelsea fan (even before the money was thrown at us) but can’t get over excited until we have played the likes of Arsenal and Man U and beaten them fair and square….which we will

August 22, 2010 at 13:22 #314197Arsenal may have been up against an equally inferior team in Blackpool, but some of the football they played was out of this world and a league apart from anything any other team in this country is capable of producing. Slick, accurate, one-touch football has become the trademark of the Gunners in recent years and despite failing to take advantage of the extra man against Liverpool, they’re going to be one hell of a team.

What a record this bunch of regular losers have in the last 5 seasons. Nothing will change – 3rd place at best again this season, which is where they belong.
Drogba loves the sight of an Arsenal defence.
And they’re not exactly a "one touch" team any-more. They had a million touches against Liverpool and, when faced with a resolute defence, they had no answer AGAIN.
August 23, 2010 at 13:00 #314364I’m a Liverpool fan, but anyone who doesn’t think chelsea are way ahead of their rivals is deluded. The deficiencies in Arsenal, Utd, Liverpool and City are glaring. Chelsea may not win the Champs League but they should walk the Prem this season. Nothing wrong in admitting the obvious.

Fairplay to you fella, no bitterness or jealousy, just being honest.
I’d be the same if it was another team aswell, sometimes you’ve just gotta hold your hands up and say, they’re just too good.

August 23, 2010 at 14:56 #314382Chelsea probably will win the Premiership this year, and being a Liverpool supporter it pains me to say it. However Matthew, how were this team that are supposedly "just too good" beaten fairly comfortably by Manchester United?

The Charity Shield will always be a friendly, bit like the defeats Chelsea had on the Dutch and German tours.
When it comes to the crunch, Chelsea deliver, team full of winners, so strong.
August 27, 2010 at 21:39 #314892Rumour has it (don’t [place much value on rumours myself) that Chelsea are about to table a bid for Sergio Ramos in the region of £40m. They sold a far more accomplished player in Carvalho, how much did they sell him for?

Carvalho was sold for 6m mate.
Old man now, ramos is arguarbly the beat right back in the world, if he comes we’ll have the two best full backs in the world.
August 28, 2010 at 22:33 #314984You’ve got to be shitting me!

Would you class Frank Lampard as an old man?
Carvalho was one of the most reliable centre halves in the league, Ramos is a hazard.
August 28, 2010 at 22:52 #314986Weren’t at our best today but still won, Ashley Cole is something else, pure class and Malouda and Obi Mikel outstanding today
August 29, 2010 at 07:18 #315000Ramos is a liability – good going forward but terrible defender – leaves too much space behind him

Maicon is the best right back in the world and Ashley cole, the best on the left.
