In a different parish from anyone else in the premiership, hope ‘sensible’ punters have taken the best priced 7/4 before yesterdays game, love it

Matthew, you really have to stop going with your heart and start going with your head. Believe me mate, you’ll be skint quicker than you can say, "where’s my money gone" if you follow your heart all the time.
Chelsea are a great team obviously, but you’re getting carried away just because they won 6-0 against a newly promoted side.
I didn’t hear you say they were a great team when they lost four games in a row (three friendlies and the Community Shield). In fact, Chelsea were outplayed and out-thought by a far superior Man Utd side last week. I’d be backing United to win the Prem on that evidence.
August 15, 2010 at 10:36 #312843You’ve got it wrong here mate. Can’t even be bothered to explain why.
Chelsea are a certainty.

Only thing certian is that Chelsea will be in the top 4 come May.

I don’t think you realise how good we are.

As a footballing expert I can tell you that Ramires is a shocking piece of business at £18m, undoubtedly he’s going to be able to chase, harry and pressurise for 90 minutes but he has no composure and awareness of what’s around him which remains a big weakness that the big boys can exploit.
I think you could have gone for David Luiz and Angel Di Maria if you wanted something effective.

Apparantely we’re buying luiz aswell and Neymar.
Essien is back now aswell.
If you were a football expert you wouldn’t challenge me’ on this, stick to racing yeah.

Chelsea are a certainty.
What, as certain as you were about Jol going to Fulham, as certain as you were about Torres going to Chelsea, as certain as you were about Woods ‘being back’ etc

So why can’t you be bothered to explain why Chelsea are in a different parish to everyone else in the Premier League? If they are in a different parish then how do you explain them getting thumped last week with virtually a full strength team (apart from Drogba) whereas United had some big players missing.
You’ve won 6-0 and you’re getting carried away… again. Just like you were when Woods birdied his first two holes on Thursday.
I love your enthusiasm, but like I say, you need to start using your head and not your heart.
August 15, 2010 at 13:13 #312868The Charity Shield is meaningless, I agree it’s only West Brom but how can Chelsea not win the league?
You might aswell hand it over now
August 15, 2010 at 13:14 #312869Oh, and I forgot to mention that you’ve let Carvalho go. A huge mistake in my opinion.
Chelsea have lost one of their best defenders and in Deco, Ballack and Cole you’ve lost a huge chunk of depth in midfield. As yet the Blues haven’t addded another striker either. Drogba is getting on now and will pick up more niggling injuries than ever before.
I’ve got Chelsea down as finishing third, with both United and City finishing above them. We’ll see.
August 15, 2010 at 13:15 #312871It’s only meaningless because you didn’ win it. Two days before the game Ancelotti was saying it was a trophy he was desperate to win. He fielded a full strength team also. Fergie wasn’t bothered and left lots of stars out. Yet United still give Chelsea a good beating.
August 15, 2010 at 13:23 #312873Drogba is the best striker in the world mate

Also, big chunk in midfield
they’re average players you’ve mentioned. We’ve got Essien back now and added Ramires, best holding midfielder in the world.August 15, 2010 at 13:24 #312874

Agreed OneEye,
I’ve been to Stamford Bridge a few times and I have to say that its like sitting in a libary!, the fans only cheer when they score which just says a lot about the history of the club which is pretty pathetic.
Any how, can’t see Chelsea winning it because Terry and Lampard are finished.

You’re clueless.Library
History
the only people that go on about history are supporters of teams living in the past, we’ve just won the double, three premiership titles in the last 6 years, countless cups.Who do you support Wilson

Matt, if you’re being honest with yourself I bet you haven’t even seen him play have you? In fact, I bet you hadn’t even heard of him until Chelsea showed an interest. He only joined Benfica last year so when have you seen him to give an opinion that he’s the best holding midfielder in the world.
I like you Matthew, you know that, and I love your enthusiasm and passion, but I wish you’d stop saying things like Ramires is the best holding midfielder in the world, and Drogba is the best striker in the world etc. These are not fact, they’re just your opinions mate.
Ramires and Drogba have never been been named in FIFA’s team of the year, the’ve never won any World Footballer of the Year awards etc… so how the hell can they be best in the world?
August 15, 2010 at 15:40 #312901I watched Ramires in the world cup and he was fantastic against USA, which I watched on ESPN Wednesday, as was Neymar, he’ll be arriving soon I hope
August 15, 2010 at 15:40 #312902As a neutral ( I don’t care which team wins the Premiership ), it is obvious that only Chelsea, Manchester Utd and Arsenal have valid claims about winning the title, with Liverpool, Manchester City and Spurs the only credible challengers. The rest have no chance.
Chelsea may not be in a different parish, but they tick all the boxes and look the most likely winners to me. They have quality, strength in depth, a strong winning mentality and are incredibly tough to beat, home or away.
