I’ve said enough about A Plus Tard and Royal Pagaille over the last couple of years, that I don’t have to say too much more. This looks the right race for the pair of them. I totally understand that Royal Pagaille isn’t for everyone, after his run at Cheltenham, but he did injure himself during the race, and I still think he’s a serious horse when he gets his conditions. Too short for me here, especially with A Plus Tard in there, but I hope both of them go.
The entry that gives me a headache is Escaria Ten. I’ve already bet him for Aintree, and I didn’t have a prep like this in mind for him. I’m absolutely certain he belongs outwith handicaps, but I thought they’d wait a bit. It might still be a speculative entry, and I would be surprised if he actually lined up, but I’m quite happy to have an EW Bet at 50’s. If I see bigger, I’ll probably take that too, but obviously won’t be my biggest bet of the season, considering the doubts about him running, and the fact I’m really keen on A Plus Tard, and Royal Pagaille.

November 4, 2021 at 15:25 #1566213On that as well Bobby.
Owner as said its the target, and i see no reason why he’s 50s and ND 6s.
For all, i doubt he’ll win.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!November 4, 2021 at 15:47 #1566220That actually makes more sense lol, like I said, be surprised if he runs, but very happy to have a bet.
November 4, 2021 at 19:09 #1566251With the yard flying I’ve got to have a play at lostintranslation , I’m not convinced he,ll run if the ground is to bad but tizzard stated in his stable tour that he,d summered well and looked back to form , I just wonder if they can bring him back similar to Cue card who also had seemed gone at the game , Native river may run also but surely he,ll need the run coming on near 13
Lostintranslation e.w 25-1
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
November 4, 2021 at 20:27 #1566263I’ll wait to see what the ground is going to be like, as don’t think he wants a bog, otherwise will join you HDLG.

November 8, 2021 at 20:46 #1566908Bristol De Mai for me. He’s my favourite jumps horse, and although I’m not prone to betting ante-post at 7-2, I’ll make an exception for him. I don’t see why he can’t make a good fist of it again in this.
November 8, 2021 at 21:06 #1566913Had antepost bet on for few weeks now Bristol De Mai he

November 15, 2021 at 10:40 #1567681A Plus Tard 5-2
No significant rain predicted.
November 15, 2021 at 11:25 #1567687He’s never won on his first time out but that was over 2m\ 2m4
November 15, 2021 at 11:31 #1567690As Bristol and Pagaille want it testing ideally, I thought I would side with him as I don’t like anything else in the race.
November 15, 2021 at 12:32 #1567695And Henry’s are all running terribly first time out
Iv definitely always had him pencilled in as one to avoid first run of the season
Maybe henry will have put more work into him for this than normal
November 15, 2021 at 13:32 #1567699Who’s gonna beat him on nice ground on a tight track out of the current 8 opponents? That’s the puzzle.

November 16, 2021 at 14:49 #1567806Its an interesting race for sure, on testing ground any one of Bristol De Mai, Native River or possibly Royal Pagaille could serve it up to the favourite – I’m very sceptical of the latter myself as to how good he actually is. Waiting Patiently on his day could go close here but he’s been a nearly horse for years now and I’m not sure about the trainer switch or the trip.
I think the most solid alternative is Next Destination and I can’t believe they won’t go for the Ladbrokes Trophy off that mark he’d take a lot of beating. The National Hunt chase last year looks like it’ll be strong form and I have a theory its even stronger form than it normally would be because they didn’t use amateur riders. He was a very good novice hurdler – a Grade 1 winning novice no less and I don’t think we’ve seen anywhere near what he’s capable of over fences yet.
Saying all of that I wouldn’t necessarily buy too much into A Plus Tard needing his first run. Granted he has the last two years but they were over 2M and they were both Grade 2’s which would be neither here nor there to the owners or trainer in the grand scheme of a whole season. This race is a different ball game in that regard, I think he’ll be pretty much bang on and very hard to beat.
November 16, 2021 at 15:10 #1567808Those b king lost in translation I don’t think he is running in this. Looks likely to start season off at ascot instead, if not there then he has Aintree option. But ascot looks most likely
