I bet A Plus Tard at 7-2 at the start of the week, but I’m not 100% confident, and there are some negatives around him.
Waiting Patiently is the one that I’ve added this morning at 8-1.
November 20, 2021 at 11:52 #1568224Royal Pagaille is interesting, especially after the stable had two winners yesterday. He would have been my nap of the day if the ground was heavy but I expect there will be one or two better than him on this ground. I thought about backing him each way but there are only seven runners now.
A Plus Tard ought to win but he is short enough first time out.
Bristol De Mai would obviously not mind softer ground too but he goes well enough on this ground and I make him my selection.
November 20, 2021 at 13:10 #1568244I’d be disappointed in A Plus Tard if he didn’t win this, but at these odds, I’ll pass.
On the face of it, Chatham Street Lad doesn’t have too many positives, but I think it’s notable that they’ve made the trip over there. I had to take that 33/1 ew with 3 places held.
November 20, 2021 at 14:58 #1568277It’s a great lineup. I’ve thrown a dart at Waiting Patiently. Not a horse I’ve backed very often (ever, now I think of it) as I’ve always believed him to be very overrated. Has been given a bewildering campaign since that Ascot win and unsurprisingly has switched yards. 8/1 seems fair based on the King George run and is worth a go each way. Race looks suited.

November 20, 2021 at 15:09 #1568283Well done Mike and Jeff. Nice price Jeff, and very nice EW Autumnal
November 20, 2021 at 15:09 #1568284Deeply impressive against horses simply not in his league – hope he heads to Kempton now
November 20, 2021 at 15:14 #1568285Not in his league, but tbf nothing else put in anything like a good round of jumping so didn’t really have anything to beat.
Value Is EverythingNovember 20, 2021 at 15:15 #1568286Good jumping ground can do that as things happen just that bit faster than in usual winter ground and to be fair RP jumps like that in deep ground too.
November 20, 2021 at 15:16 #1568287Thanks VTC. LD73 he has to go left handed so wont go to Kempton.
November 20, 2021 at 15:17 #1568288Gold cup looking like a Irish goldfest even at this point
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
November 20, 2021 at 15:25 #1568291WD Mike he was impressive. Royale Pagaille did well too. Sorry to see BdM jumping indifferently, hope he’s alright. Right decision to pull up.
Waiting Patiently “Has been given a bewildering campaign since that Ascot win” because he has rubbish knees. People say “what could he have achieved with another trainer?” Depending on the trainer, shuffling round a retirement paddock at an early age or a bullet in a abattoir, probably.
November 20, 2021 at 15:28 #1568294Gag my point is Williams as no history of turning around soured or horses with issues , there,s a talented horse there if the right man gets him , you can only run him 2 or 3 times a year and that today was a waste of a run
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
November 20, 2021 at 15:30 #1568295More positively where next for the 2nd , there,s def some good races in him once the winter ground comes
