    darren,well done yet again with

    Bonfire

your foresight for spotting a good un is second to none mate! Again he’s a horse you and I discussed way back last season after his debut at Salisbury, you asked me then if I thought he was a Derby horse and I said he was a 11/4m horse and being a ‘Night shift’ related colt thought he wouldn’t be a 11/2m horse! My opinion after todays race is ‘Coral Eclipse’ I can see him travelling around Sandown beautifully, being a right handed course it will suit his definate trait of wanting to lean right in his races.Epsom is not his course and I cant see him being suited to any of Derby days idiosyncracies,I’m sure he’s a bit of a thinker, laid back enough but there’s something about him that just lacks the toughness I see in others,

    Parish hall

is a battler who will stay and

    Astrology

will defineately be placed,I dont think

    Camelot

is a Derby horse either so you could still run a place but I’ll be surprised if he won!

    Tomorrow,I like

    Shirocco Star

,I put this filly up before she even set foot on a racecourse and having seen her in the flesh at Nottingham I was suitably impressed with her 33/1 2nd place, she duly confirmed that promise with a comfortable victory afterwards,I saw Victor offering 14/1 about her chances tomorrow but seeing how that is the only Bookmaker I dont have an account with I couldn’t get on,I’ve taken 11/1 with Corals though! At 33/1 for the Oaks itself, she’s worth an interest!

    Burwaaz

should win tomorrow too,I have one eye on the July Cup for this fellow,7/2 seems about right to me.
At York I have a big soft spot for

    Come on Dave

,he’s no world beater but he reminds me a lot of his sire ‘Red Clubs’ and again caught my eye at Nottingham,it wasn’t one of Kierans finest rides but then again neither was his last 2 efforts on

    Fury

!! A law unto himself is Mr Fallon!

    Lilys Angel

ran a great race in the 1000gns for a 66/1 shot, she’ll out battle all tomorrow at 4/1. 8)

Form of Shirocco Star boosted by Varnish winning today as well, not a race I’d be investing in personally though!

I’ve been trawling round tomorrows cards looking for a double figure horse who will thrust me to the top of my work’s weekly nap competition, so your commendation of Come On Dave is interesting, though one that did come to my attention was Robin Hoods Bay over at Newmarket. Although has been campaigned largely over the AW, he seems to see out his races really well regardless of distance, and form to date looks solid with many running well since (Area Fifty One, Dragonera). Won FTO last year and Spencer has won and finished second on him in his last two runs. I may side with this one…

    rich,

    Come on Dave

has bags of speed and takes a bit of holding,Kieran failed to settle him at Nottingham so why do I think Shirley Teasedale will?? Well I’m hoping he does what he did when she rode him at Redcar and thats maintain a flat even pace (I sound like bloody Aiden) instead of trying to break the 3f course record,he’ll be right up there and hopefully last home and run a place at 33/1.

TAPK: Slightly off topic but all tools that aid us are relevant!

Keep an eye on Darren Egan a very capable 7lb claimer who is getting utilised by more and more trainers. He gave one of Brian Ellisons a cracking ride at Newcastle recently (Lifetime) where he was pulling double but stuck on the rail, instead of panicking and pulling the horse out he sat, sat and waited for a small gap and was through it like a ferret down a hole! Smart brain on a young head and without doubt worth his 7lb claim!

I do believe we could have seen the Ebor winner this week from Mr Tregonings yard

Have put a few up on my York thread but would like to highlight a couple for you to consider!

355 New: Rawaki won nicely on debut last season but has obviously had problems, fragile legs being one but Mr Balding would not run if he was not happy! This horse is very high on the list at home and is expected to win a very nice Heritage HCap at some point this season!

335 York: Jo Hughes has started well since taking over the reigns and has a nice EW chance here with Wicked Wench at 25s. Ran well lto behind Ballasteros in bottomless ground and dropping back down to his own grade could go well here!

310 Nby: Back to Mr Balding and he likes Marishi Ten who has been pleasing him at home and doing things professionally and well! In this race at 12s she looks a nice price to have a little nibble at 8) Hopefully the money will come for her prior to the off!

Good luck with your selections mate :D

TAPK: He did indeed ride Judge N Jury, one to keep an eye on and i’m sure the bigger yards will be putting him up!

Come on Dave getting even lower now! Also the Balding filly has been backed all reates down to 8s and 7s, always a good sign from this yard 8)

    my son of

    ! :D

Just popped up town to my local Betfred for a chat and took the 25/1 to Cash,I was in there for all of 15 mins and in that time

    Come On Dave

went from 25’s to 14’s! I’m known to shorten prices by the sheer mention of a horse but this time I’ve started a Tsunami and I’m riding it but like this tidal wave we’ve got to let it build up slowly before powering home,Shirleys going to be tested today!

    Come On Dave

    a place will do!

TAPK: You have them running for cover :D

Take a look at the 130 York. Odds on fav is very highly regarded and should win easily however the place market is wide open! Only one other horse is ‘blue’ on oddschecker and that is the supposed 2nd string of Tom Dascombe called

Now Laddies are offering 14s in their without the fav market and that offers a nice EW bet considering others are 8s and 7s!

Hopefully Jim Crowley will ride him for a late burst and nab 2nd 8)

Final bet of the day! Marco Botti can ready one and in the 220 Newmarket his fillie TESTAMATTA is totally blue on oddschecker!

Have taken an EW wager at 16s with Joes 8)

Another one of my Nottingham horses runs in the next at York,

    Sadeeks Song

is a gangly chestnut who hasn’t shown his hand yet,he will and this handicap should be his for the taking,he’s better than a handicapper so lets see a nice performance today.

    Sadeeks Song

    £100 e/w 10/1 Bet365 2,0pm York

TAPK: Very unlucky with Shirocco Star mate, beaten by an inspired ride from Hayley Turner. What a day she is having!

My newcomer Testamatta totally missed the kick and then flew to land the place money at 16s but could have been so much better!

Have a good week-end and good luck 8)

Gord what you think of Burwaaz today am happy i had the winner took 100/30 this morning.I just felt that run by SS behind Valbchek was very eyecatching and this family of sprinters always do well.Had Red Cadeaux as well.Any thoughts on COMMITMENT he was weak in the betting but ran a blinder was 2nd but miles clear of the 3rd.
