Whats really frustrating is that I want to get stuck into both

    Carlito Brigante

    and

    Cantlow

    ,even

    Get me out of here

but we still dont know which race they are going for! I want double figure prices on these horses as they will all get backed big time!

Evening Gord. It’s my understanding that, as we wished and spoke about a couple of months back, Carlito Brigante takes his place in the Centenary Novices Handicap in the last race of day one, a race I believe that we’re both in agreement that he’d win running backwards! In a Racing Post stable tour Gordon Elliot said he saw that as his likely destination anyhow. Get Me Out Of Here, Jonjo claims, may well take his place in the World Hurdle, as he doesn’t believe him to be overly well handicapped anymore, with the absence of Big Buck’s being another obvious pull. As for your mate Cantlow, your guess is as good as mine!

I’ve already lumped on Carlito Brigante for the said race @12s, that alone would take care of the week for me 8)

Hope that’s of some use mate and not telling you what you already know!

Gord i know you like Captain Conan but i think AUPCHARLIE will go close in the jewson it the perfect trip for him.

And how about the mare ANNIE POWER go for the champion hurdle next year they got the mares race next year with Quevega again. with Hurricane Fly getting older could the mare be a horse for champion hurdle.Mullins may not have a champion hurdle horse next year if the fly does not win this year.

Mc Manus’ horses will get backed, but why would you think Carlito’d get backed, sure Gordon’s said publicly many a time that he doesn’t gamble

What about Mr. Martin and his string? Do you think he’s been playing around with any of them  ? I think Thomas Edison could be an interesting contender for the county hurdle, has some top drawer bumper form and he’s the kind of horse i could see just rediscovering his form if the money’s down.

Good to hear from you Boz,you are also in the MTOY big prices brigade if I remember correctly, glad you are on

    Carlito Brigante

for the ‘Centenary’ as its his weakest engagement, even though 11-9 looks harsh he really is a stone too good for the whole field on some of his form.I’d still fancy him off 10-4 in the ‘Festival JLT’Chase mind over 3m,fingers crossed as I’m with you here!

    Cantlow

has the same problem as he is going to be a better Chaser than his 143 mark suggests and I want him sticking to the 3m route really,I know he was fancied quietly by connections for last years ‘Pertemps’ and they felt he didn’t really get home so again something like the ‘Byrne Plate’ off 10-7 looks very attractive,I keep nibbling away at him but its getting frustrating waiting to get stuck into his confirmed target!

Darren,I’m not saying too much about

    Captain Conan

as his form through ‘Darlan’ speaks volumes and I dont want to put the mockers on him but he’s a bloody certainty mate and I wont look for anything to get near him as I know nothing will…….S*it it slipped out!

    Annie Power

looks more like a staying filly than a Champion hurdler to me but its early days, your horse wasn’t disgraced by her but his head carriage certainly ‘Defys Logic’!

I’d give him a solid chance of finishing 2nd to his stable mate

    Shutthefrontdoor

.Still relatively unexposed and worth a bet at 16/1 Darren.

Carlito Brigante will be the big irish gamble of day one and will get punters out of a hole after Jezki and The Fly get beaten.

Sprinter Scare wins The Queen Mother, everyone knows that. However, the market without the favourite is interesting and I saw enough about this

    Mail De Bievre

at Newbury last time to acknoledge that 11/2 is big enough, especially as Sizing and Cue Card will be heading to the Ryan Air.

    Mail de Bievre

    Edit-

    Party Politics

was the horse and Carl Llewellyn, not Brendan Powell was the jockey!!

    Can I join today’s gang please ;-)

I took 12s previously but after reading Carlito Brigante was deffo heading to the Pulteney or Centenary or whatever else it gets called ive gone back in today!

As you know I also enjoy my doubles and trebles to a couple of quid and have done the following more in hope and loyalty:

    Carlito Brigante at 10s
    SDC at 9/2
    First Lieutenant 5s
Ballynagour 5s Byrne Plate (covering Hunt Ball bets) and stuck £40 single on too
    Rolling Aces 5s in Triumph

One treble would be nice :-)

Any idea what race Mr Watson will take in at the festival? Looks very nicely weighted and numerous winners have come out of his races

I’d go 1/4 he runs in the County hurdle Gary, not even sure he’d get in the Coral cup!
