Not the poetry, I mean Mahler’s progeny. Do you reckon they are one paced bog gallopers or something?
December 18, 2018 at 12:23 #1389673Ms Parfois is the best of the bunch. His progeny have a decent strike rate and he’s only 14 so it’s possible that the next four or five crops will prove to be his best
December 20, 2018 at 14:25 #1389769Next Destination entered in a Beginners Chase in Leopardstown on 28th December
January 3, 2019 at 21:06 #1391236For anyone who hasnt already seen
Next destination is out for the season
January 4, 2019 at 09:13 #1391261Big clue in this race; we should see La Bague Au Roi take on Delta Work in the Dublin Racing Festival. That should help us marry up the form on either side of the Irish Sea and give a better indication on who to be with for this and The JLT. If Delta Work spanks La Bague Au Roi then I’d be happy enough to back Irish horses for all the Novice Chases but of Delta Woirk is beaten then Topofthegame will be my RSA horse. Santini way too short.
For Arkle I’m floating between Le Richebourg and Dynamite Dollars
For the JLT it’s Getabird, Hardline or Mortal (depending who shows up)
For RSA its Delta Work v Topoftehgame. The DRF will help me decide
January 4, 2019 at 13:09 #1391287Are any of the running plans for the Irish horses been mentioned?
I always wonder whether the likes of Delta Work and Mortal could go for the NH CHase?
January 5, 2019 at 10:44 #1391435I know that there are other targets but I was impressed by Lostintranslation at Cheltenham. I will take a chance at 20-1
January 6, 2019 at 22:33 #1391637Getabird for the JLT, Vautour ? Left handed ?
January 6, 2019 at 23:06 #1391640The left handed right handed thing with getabird is so far based on nothing more than seculation. There is no evidence to suggest that going left handed is a problem
January 6, 2019 at 23:19 #1391641TWM he’s shown a preference for running right handed from his point days.
Mullins said: “Getabird has shown that he is much happier going right-handed and that’s why we have decided on Limerick rather than Leopardstown for his Christmas target.Mullin’s doesn’t think its a myth anyway.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 7, 2019 at 00:28 #1391643“ No evidence “
Ran out of his left handed ptp.
At Cheltenham, Getabird jumps right at every hurdle where such a manoeuvre is clearly visible and finishes over 40 lengths behind the winnerNo evidence ?!
January 7, 2019 at 00:32 #1391644Maybe Mullins could borrow Geoff Goldblum’s machine out of “The Fly” and put Getabird and Yorkhill in it together?
January 15, 2019 at 17:24 #1392599I suspect this is where OK Corral will end up and have taken some 20s. I’m intrigued as to what his next race might be – any thoughts?
Ok Corral is expected to have another run next month in the hope of confirming his place at the Cheltenham Festival.
The nine-year-old, trained by Nicky Henderson, was cut to as low as 3-1 favourite for the four-mile National Hunt Chase after taking his unbeaten record over fences to two with a convincing display in the Listed Hampton Court Novices’ Chase at Warwick on Saturday.
“He put up a good performance, jumped well and did it nicely,” said Frank Berry, racing manager to owner J P McManus.
“He’ll probably have another run in early February. The four-miler at Cheltenham is a possible target – it depends how he gets on in his next run
January 16, 2019 at 13:50 #1392657Towton or Reynoldstown if they want to step up in class and see how good he is.
January 23, 2019 at 14:28 #1393330La Bag Au Roi – Warren has said last night on his twitter that she is unlikely to go to Cheltenham and the Dublin racing festival and Aintree is the plan.
January 23, 2019 at 14:53 #1393331Not sure where you got that from KSS?
https://www.racingpost.com/news/latest/le-bague-au-roi-to-take-aim-at-irelands-best-for-in-form-greatrex/362609This quotes WG saying they’re leaning towards the JLT.
Not really sure what to make of it all. Hopefully goes to JLT
January 23, 2019 at 15:04 #1393334On his twitter last nite. Its still there.
A tweeter asks will she go to Chelt to which he responds “unlikely”. Then hes asked about Dublin and Aintree as the plan and he gives the thumbs up.He says in that article –
Greatrex said: “She will have entries in the JLT and the RSA, the JLT is the preference. We will get Ireland out of the way first, I have always said Cheltenham is not her track but things can change.
“I think the owners would love to have a go at Cheltenham, but we will make a plan after Ireland. At this stage I think she’s more likely to go to Aintree, but nothing is decided.”
Id like to see her in the JLT. Smash away from the front.
