Going for Gold….
February 18, 2018 at 21:38 #1342970Good luck for the horse….
I think the Ryanair would have been the better choice, but apparently the Gold Cup is the more interesting target according to the owner.
February 18, 2018 at 21:48 #1342973Sorry ERL, I had seen Jean Bishop’s quote but I was hoping that with a bit more time to think about it they too would decide the Ryanair was the right race. That said it will likely be his last race so I understand the last throw of the dice outlook. I just think it would be better to go out on a high celebrating a Ryanair victory.
February 21, 2018 at 14:42 #1343321I think Might Bite will win although I fancied Whisper.
This will be my last Cheltenham though and I would love it if Cue Card won.
Will try and be there too.
February 26, 2018 at 18:13 #1344108Was good to read mullins optimistic about killultagh vic, does not think stamina will be an issue atall.
February 27, 2018 at 22:21 #1344273I have done my dough already here with Blaklion, so I have added 2 nrnb
Killultagh Vic 10-1 nrnb BOG
Native River 13-2 nrnbMarch 5, 2018 at 21:03 #1344888Edwulf at 25/1 is the value play here, massively over priced.
March 7, 2018 at 16:41 #1345123Hope you’re right Pants.
Derek O’Connor keeps the ride, which is great news. Barry Geraghty will have the choice of Anibale Fly or Minella Rocco, with Mark Walsh on board whichever one he doesn’t choose.
March 7, 2018 at 17:06 #1345125Big brute of a horse that Edwulf – reminds me of Rag Trade, who could take down a brick wall
March 8, 2018 at 18:50 #1345312Sizing John out to 20’s on Betfair, and Market Suspended.
Confirmed, he’s out sadly.
March 8, 2018 at 18:52 #1345313Just been confirmed, he’s out VTC.
March 8, 2018 at 19:26 #1345318Think that makes 8 late big name absentees (5 British trained, 3 Irish) from the Festival. No decision yet on Waiting Patiently and what are the odds one of Douvan/Faugheen won’t make it? Far too much importance is stressed upon these 4 days in March to the detriment of the rest of the season.
March 8, 2018 at 20:25 #1345327Shame that Sizing John is out. I was looking forward to him being put firmly in his place by Might Bite and Road to Respect.
March 8, 2018 at 21:29 #1345337I take it this means that Robbie Power will ride Our Duke after all then?
Really feel for Noel Fehily. He’s the best jock this side of the water and should have been given a top job years ago,the bloke just can’t seem to catch a break.
March 8, 2018 at 23:38 #1345367Yes RP have Puppy as getting the ride back on the front page tomorrow.
He’s been given the ride on Monalee this year and got a pile of plum rides last fez, don’t think he’s been that unlucky compared to plenty of jocks.
March 9, 2018 at 01:56 #1345377With Sizing John out, a few points have been taken off a few of the more fancied
runners. Killultagh Vic, my idea of the winner, is a stand out
10/1 with Betvictor. They are on their own at that price, he’s
generally 8s, and I doubt BV will still be standing that by the end of the day
(Friday). Let’s hope for no more shock withdrawals.March 10, 2018 at 12:01 #1345552American has been supplemented! Will be ridden by Noel Fehily.
