Can’t have any of the UK trained fillies Inspiral lapped most of them and the others would be doubtful stayers or too inexperienced. Experience concerns for both of O’Briens, this wont take much winning and Tennebrism could be a better sprinter/7F filly but still win here if she stays ok given the quality shes against.

Discoveries is fair enough but I wasn’t blown away by her Moyglare win.

I keep coming back to the French fillies and of the two its Zellie who I think wants the mile more. Slight concern about the ground but shes a good price for a G1 winning miler I think as I believe shes the only one here with such claims.

On a line through pizza bianca wild beauty really shouldn’t be double the price of malavath

Wild beauty beat her eased down at woodbine (fillies mile too soon after?)

Malavath got beat by her at the breeders Cup

Already have free bets on Discoveries and Tuesday but very tempted to invest some cash in wild beauty

This looks like a race where the bookies will fancy getting the favourites beaten.

Tenebrism is by no means certain to say and Flotus did not exactly advertise the form.

Zellie looks a big price for a Group 1 winning miler and trained by a master.

Might also have a little bit on Juncture. She won well last time and I would not be surprised if she ran well.

I’m on Tenebrism and Discoveries ante-post and, if my dismal betting performance in the 2,000 Guineas is any guide, Tenebrism won’t stay a mile in a horsebox and Discoveries will be so badly in need of the race there will be paddock speculation that she is heavily pregnant.

I’m terrified of the French – though Zellie’s never been on ground this quick – Cachet is probably better than I think, and two of my Oaks bets (Tuesday and Mise En Scene) will therefore turn out to be milers.

But undaunted, I am saying I absolutely cannot have Tuesday at a mile.

She couldn’t have been more workmanlike in her maiden if she’d been wearing a high viz jacket and a helmet and if she’s fast enough to win the 1,000 Guineas, I’m a Dutchman (just call me Johan).

Worth noting that the last 4 winners of this were all fairly battle hardened 2yos with plenty of runs under their belts

Both discoveries and wild beauty have that experience are group 1 winners and have pedigrees that suggest they will get better at 3

    Tenebrism is a doubtful stayer
zellies best runs are on soft ground (or even softer)

I’ve decided to add wild beauty at 14/1

While I’m very dubious of tenebrism staying she has experience of Newmarket and it may well be lack of experience that beats her. I more siding with tuesday especially if it’s run at a frantic pace which it usually is. Shes obviously improving quickly so she could well be the best in the field. The French raiders are definitely in the mix too.

Was very impressed with Tenerbrism’s turn of foot so have to put her in the mix today whether she stays or not but also have to take a chance on Roger Varian’s Ameynah who was so impressive on Craven Stakes day. She takes a big step up today but her experience of the course will help her

Looking forward to being there today.

Just had a quick look through the race, may be seeing this through rose tinted glasses having backed Billesdon Brook when she won – but Flash Betty is way too big at 200/1, similar profile to Bilesdon Brook.

Doesn’t look a great Guineas and want to be against Tenebrism. Best horse but mot certain to stay and possibly flattered by beating the field by that far in Cheveley Park. Three of first four raced nearest rail. One that didn’t (and therefore better than distance beaten) was SANDRINE in third. She’s imo worth an each way bet at 37/1+ here.
With not many looking real top class this may go to a lightly raced filly and can understand the money for Ameynah – price has gone now. TUESDAY is bred to be better at middle distances, but this early in the season may still be effective at a mile. At home I’d expect the 6f Group 1 winner Tenebrism to outpoint Tuesday on the gallops. Needs to come on quite a bit on form but mere fact she’s running is a plus to what Ballydoyle think of her and taken 15/2 each way.
I do like Discoveries but vibes seem all wrong and stable doesn’t seem in as good form as others. The one I’ve had most on though (again each way) is the french filly MALAVATH. Beat Zellie on reappearance on very soft ground and had it been good I’d be on both. However, Zellie hasn’t much form on a firmer surface, Malavath does, excellent second on a firmer surface in the Breeders Cup. 7/1 looks value.
