I predict Youmzain will finish second to whatever wins it.

Gagnoa doesn’t look like the most lionhearted of fillies does she?

Surely the Irish Champion Stakes is a more prestigious race than the Juddmonte……….

    Ignorance!

The foundation sires originated in the Middle East – and a distinct majority of their time would have been galloping in sand, dirt and clay.

By the look of most of Godolphin’s they’d be as well of left in the sand.

Those yankee dirt types are just no use when it comes to real racing. What would Curlin be on Turf? A Group2/substandard Group1 performer.

"Real racing" – and what makes racing on turf superior to racing on any other surface . Can you explain, please ?

And would you bet on Red Rocks to beat Curlin over 10 on dirt ?

Turf is what horses are meant to run on. How many horses can be found in the wild frolicking on Fibresand? And the second question. No. European horses aren’t bred or designed for artificial racing. See George Washington.

Going for Mad About You here with Gagnoa to push her close. Reasons outlined in my lays and plays thread and I hate repeating myself.

    Sunday 13th July

    Mad About You

    Irish Oaks The Curragh

I have the fillies that ran in the English Oaks as much of a muchness and Id say they’ll be lucky to enter the placings here. Much stronger form is represented by both Gagnoas effort behind Zarkava and Dermot Welds filly’s effort against Promising Lead in the Pretty Polly over a couple of furlongs shorter. While it’s usually folly to discount AOB’s charges, I just don’t rate Moonstone as anything near a 7/4 shot for this. NAPUnp 9/2[/color:3pe8ribz]

Id say if the ground stays anywhere near soft, Sir Gerry will reverse couple of recent outcomes v KN and MD. How well has that French Gruop 2 form held up btw.

This race all revolves IMO around what the ground is by tomorrow. There are plenty of smart looking types but different surfaces are wanted by many.

With the ground as it is at present o’briens runner Grand Ducal must have a great chance but I would be siding with Channons horse Sanvean @ 16-1 (current price on betfair).

    Looks a decent race…

    Any thoughts?

Yeah if the ground still has juice in it the two Danehill Dancer colts would the ones that take my eye too.

Actually prefer ATR. Probably because they cover Irish racing too.
