7.40 Ballinrobe
A very hot beg chase for the venue and is well worth watching for pointers towards the decent summer novices.
I like Annual Report in this. He has been racing on soft or worse going and while he has performed well on it, I feel there is improvement to come on better ground as all his winning siblings were good ground horses and his only win was on a sound surface. His chase form has been decent. FTO he was second to Aranleigh who was a bit lucky to beat Coolcashin after. The 3rd Caim Hill has won a G2 since, 4th won a marse beg chase and the 5th Wickham Street won a beg chase in Tipp last week. He ran well for a long way in Punchestown nto but imo the unraceable going that day found him out and he was very tired when falling at the last. Given a near 3mth break he ran poor in Gowran but 2 weeks later he was 2nd to Final Question, who won off 116 after and is now 125 and the 3rd that day won a beg chase since and has been competitive off 114. The mad thing is that on his latest run he was going to finish well in front of Corskeagh but for falling and yet is quoted 3 points bigger in most of the books early prices. Annual Report will improve for the ground and shouldn’t be 10’s.Opposition:
Dogs- Corskeagh and Maucaillou
Warcraft isn’t good enough
92 TEAM will like the better ground but has no experience and Cash is not a plus.
Some Target isn’t proven on the going, struggled to get by pro loser Fennis Boy and had a slog in F’house
Dual Gales may need the run and is a summer class horse.1pt Annual Report 10’s gen.

Gallops on ATR site.
Swain
How did ST Nicholas Abbey do when you watching him
I missed him darren, sorry bout that. That bottle of heineken took longer than expected. I only say the second lot. Any one else care to comment on what they say?
Good work Mr. Wilson btw. I wonder is Oratorio gonna pass on his lazy style to his stock, Fencing Master certainly has it anyway imo.
Untrained eye here but Fencing Master looked like a bull( a very impressive bull), grown a lot imo. Beethoven looked small( Did he train on?). Alfred Nobel impressed in the gallop(cantered over them all). Fencing Master looks a lazy sort and got a few taps from COD.
Anyone else got an opinion on these few?
Not sure about the 33’s about Reiteration, He only beat a horse who was beaten in a Galway auction maiden and in a Cork maiden. Form impression only, haven’t seen the race a second time. Presume bolger will run him in a Guineas trial in Leop or Curr next and we’ll find out more.
Hi,
Anyone in the Curragh today? I thought Devoted not being fully clipped was a sign she was a bit behind. Also thought it was interesting the way latin love was ridden. Wachman said she would improve for the run, I’d say she’ll improve for a return to more positive tactics too.
Finicus was trained by eoin griffin,
I agree with H2H about Dohasa, he’s underpriced. The 2 races he won this year were very weak affairs and on both occasions he beat horses rated well below him. I have him down as a horse that is not fully genuine as he has carried his head high against duff in tipp and leopardstown.
The turfclub have SMS News messaging on their site:

today 11/10:
Curragh soft, soft to hvy in plces (2.9mm rain overnite). 4cast mist and drizzle clearing later 2day, dry 2moro.
The ground at Limerick is now ylding, good to ylding in plces following overnite rain. What time do these messages come thru in the morning robert?
Not smart bringing a Grade 1 horse to a dog track like Galway for his first run over hurdles as you say IC. Don’t see any reason for the likes of Russell not taking over either. It’s not as if he’ll have better rides in the company Dunguib will be keeping.
The reason he’s going to galway afaik is for a novice hurdle in the hope of a small field.
Last part of my post should be more like
Should STS’s main autumn aim be the Breeders Cup Classic?
If the ground is on the easy side and STS does not turn up the field should look like this.
Fame and Glory
Casual Conquest
Lord Admiral
Rockhampton
Set Sailmaybe Loch Long.
Price that up
2/7 Fame and Glory, 10/3 Casual Conquest, 50/1 LA, 250/1 Rockhampton, Set Sail, Loch Long.
Is Casual a logical bet then at the moment. I have had a small bet on him on BF and I am tempted to have another bit on. Although the weather isn’t supposed to be that bad for the rest of the week, yld or worse ground will probably stop Oxx from running STS.
The case for CC is as follows: He is already a 10f Gr. 1 winner and easily beat Famous Name, he is by no means a super star but has been targeted at this race while I think Ballydoyle have the arc in the back of their head for F&G and probably expect not to be taking on STS so may have him a little short( he will have been off since late june too) Tell me if I’m wrong about this.. While I fully expect Ballydoyle to make it a test CC has no stamina problems. Basically I think with the way the market is on BF, betting to 105% with possible/likely non runners taking up 25-30% there has to value and CC @ double figure odds looks the one to me.
Shedloads of rain would be nice just to rule out STS.
Another question, Is the Breeders Cup Classic not STS’s main autumn aim.

If you’re interested I have a spreadsheet in Excel that I could send you that as long as you put the correct details ie. stakes, returns then it’ll calculate the rest of it for you including sorting by sport etc.
Would you be able to send it on to me too?
May I suggest for the action junkie(I am one myself) that doin a small placepot at a meeting instead of punting something you half-fancy cpuld be an option. I am as guilty as anyone for chasing or pretty undisciplined bets but I think a small placepot gives me an interest in the first 6 races at a meeting and also helps me concentrate on my selection and the race as a whole.
