Who????
Mr. P. FentonPlus two retired stable stars and a few horses with a nice run of wins prior to the disclose of the anabolics.
Question: Do we still need HIM in this sport?
Is he the only one? Do horses need that kind of drugs? And when yes why?
By the way: How do I get my money back when cheated by the connections of a doped horse?Looked horrible. That leg was broken in at least places. Don`t need any confirmation for that I`m afraid.
Unfortunately you are dead right.
@ Young Fella:
I know that he cares for his horses, but sometimes his is too ambitious in my opinion.
This poor horse escaped Newbury, took quite a tumble in a novices chase at Lingfield and this time he just ran in a race he normally wouldn´t. I think he deserved a bit more mercy from his connections. He was just 8 years old, but experienced a lot more pain and frightening moments than some 12 year olds.Yeah, once again these connections proved how GREED is spelled. A horse that never ran later than Punchestown and not earlier than October the earliest was brought back for what reason?
To have fun in the summer, maybe….
But we all know, the more you own, the less you know. And probably the less you seem to care. You just want to win those trophies!!!His fall was very bad and I was surprised that he was remounted at all. But then again I looked at the jockey and thought: This bloke would even remount his mother. I guess that British Racing does an awful lot for the horses welfare compared to other racing associations. However they could do the horses a favour and give them the traditional summer break.
It would be a real shame to lose a genuine winter horse in June.Fact is that she is unbeaten under Thierry Jarnet. Every time Thierry rode her, he rode her to perfection. Why would you change the jockey if the trainer is still the same? Mr. Jarnet has done nothing wrong and he knows her for a much longer time than Frankie.
Plus fillies in hot conditions turns out to be very problematic at times.
I´m not quite sure that she was such a brilliant winner of the Arc as many people would like her to be.
She probably won the race because the gelding wasn`t eligible to run and because the rest of the field was and is just a little bit above average. I´m not convinced that Treve is that kind of genuine like The Fugue for example.Excellent news if true.
I really hate to see fatalities on a racecourse. However I must admit that some accidents, like the two at Royal Ascot today, can occur on any racecourse, even if it`s such a big meeting. No one is to blame I guess, but let`s hope the groundkeepers will do a proper job this week and the meeting will go ahead without further casualties.
RIP to both of them.Hot weather and FIRM going. Who cares?
Thanks for the replies. I would also like to know why there are no Group 1 races over 7 furlongs? I think there is also quite a huge jump from 7f to 8f. But I still don`t know enough about stamina index or dosage index ir whatever comes into play.
A very genuine sprinter and for the first time I started to realize the HUGE difference between 5f and 6f sprints.
Nevertheless she was great fun to watch. It`s nice that she reached the age of 26 years, but then again it worries me just how fast time has gone by.
Rest In Peace LOCHSONG!!!Lydia and Steve are RUK.
The one I like the most is Jonathan.
But looking at ATR, you have to say that something is clearly amiss there. Can`t say exactly what it is, but I think you understand me.ATR – extremely slow pictures, therefore also extremely slow speaking race analysts. Otherwise you would assume a consumption of certain liquids and p…s.
I hope they can start talking a bit faster tonight. If you are referring to Lanfranco’s riding of certain horses in the past then you could be right.
It doesnt get any uglier. He simply "murdered" the open ditch and must have broken his pelvis and some bones in the process.
Rest in Peace Cape Elorn!I watch so many races in France, but I can`t remember seeing horses breaking that many bones they way it happens in Britain. Once again i feel extremely sorry for the horse. But as usual only for the poor horse.
