Grey Desire’s avatar photo shows TAJJREE winning for the syndicate at Wolverhampton as some forum members may recall. Tajj’s trainer, Kirsty Boutflower, has recently updated us on Tajj’s whereabouts since the horse’s retirement from active racing and we thought it might be of interest to some to see the latest info:-
"
Just to let any old syndicate members know that Tajjree is tested in foal to Striking Ambition. She was covered about 3 weeks ago (took her ages to get ready – way too cold!) – he has a pretty high fertility rate and managed to get her in foal first time. So we should hear the patter of tiny hooves come next March. I will keep you posted and you never know, may even get a photo up some time!

Thanks for the game TRF. Well done for sticking in there towards the end when others would have given up. It’s only a bit of fun anyway.

Any queries?
In Ted’s absence, I’ve tried to work out the scores and have come up with the following:-
This is how I calculate it but please tell me if you spot any errors.
Of the published TRF team, 2,3,10 and the 1st reserve didn’t post. I have therefore used the 2nd reserve, Textfix, to replace 2 and the other posters, happy & John Williams, to replace 3 & 10 in the order they posted.

Subject to any inquiry, I believe the overall position is as follows:-
End of Day 2 Totals were FF17 v TRF 11.
Day 3 score FF 7.5 v TRF 4.5 but FF also get the 2 points for highest team total.
Therefore, with 2 days to go, the score is FF 26.5 v TRF 15.5.
Very best wishes to Debs and Luke. Hope both are well.
Grey Desire bumped into John Gallagher last week and got an update on the Gloaming and Glistening Silver foals. That caused me to look up the pictures of our last "syndicate" visit to John’s stables. It was obvious from them how much Craig loved his racing (and the syndicate he started).
Well. With so many previous winners in the race and carrying 2 stone nearly of deadweight, I would have thought 8s or 10s would be the order of the day?:o
Quote: from Purwell on 7:59 pm on Jan. 14, 2007[br]Welcome to TRF jinnyj , I’m the oldest bugger in the syndicate if you are wondering who I am.
I object to that claim, PP. I’ve retired so you can’t possibly pinch my seniority rights.:argue:
It certainly was a great day on Saturday and may be on Thursday as well? (Don’t forget the lucky hat, Andrew!)
Can I echo the earlier sentiments about the fantastic job Kirsty & Brian have done with Taj? The horse has been so unlucky in most of her previous runs and it was becoming almost boring to keep recalling them but K & B kept the faith and got their richly-deserved reward.
I also second Kirsty’s comment re Andrew. He has almost seamlessly kept the syndicate together and Craig was such a hard act to follow. I’ve just had his latest long and amusing e-mail report. Hasn’t he got any work to do?? Last Saturday would not have existed for the syndicate but for Andrew – thanks.
Quote: from guskennedy on 7:03 pm on July 25, 2006[br]Lay off lawyers, highflyer1 – they’ve a living to make and you just might need one some day.<br>
From an Insurance Trade publication this month:-
"Research carried out of over 90,000 personal injury claims… showed that claimants without legal representation receive on average £289 more than claimants with legal representation. In addition, the research found that the time taken to settle claims without legal representation is on average 95 days shorter."
So please don’t automatically assume that using lawyers is the best route. Like any profession, there are brilliant and efficient exponents of their trade and at the other end of the spectrum are the parasites and moneygrabbers (e.g. the glut of “human rightsâ€ÂÂ
What terrible news, Debs. I am really lost for words at the moment. Deepest sympathies from Hilary, Steve and myself (and I’m sure from everyone on FF as well.) It is but a few days since we enjoyed his usual lively companionship at Lingfield when he was so bullish about the syndicate.

What an evening! DL kindly allowed my son & I to join the party (I’m a Gloaming syndicate member but the "Silver" syndicate couldn’t use up the ticket allocation). Some of us certainly availed ourselves of the 44s on the Tote:biggrin: . Hope others did to.
A big thank you to DL for his organisation of the syndicates. In less than a year, we have been in the Winners Enclosure 3 times out of 18 runs, visited countless courses, thrilled to having a runner at Cheltenham, enjoyed a number of excellent stable visits, made lots of new acquaintances, etc.
For those of you who have been wavering about signing up – what are you waiting for? Enjoy your favourite sport from the inside.
Wonderful training performance tonight by the way. Off the course for a year and with ground not ideal. John & Becky are a lovely couple and I am sure will go places in the coming years. Well done, DL, for finding them.
I hope Rich gets his voice back in time for Leicester on Sunday! My arms are aching from helping to carry the 48 cans of Grolsch back to the horsebox which, sadly, go to the stable lads but at least we got to drink champagne.:cheesy:
I voted "not bent" on the grounds that it must be less than 50% bent! Think you need to refine your question, Jim.
