Hucking Hill – a commentator’s nightmare!
byronbay,
Do you own The Bet Collection Lays Service, or are the owners paying you a commision for plugging their service?
You were on here a couple of days ago on a different thread telling us all what a wonderful service it is, yet today you start a new thread supposedly trying to drum up debate regarding which is the best laying sevice…of course, just giving you another opportunity to plug said service. (You didn’t pull the wool over my eyes pal).
And surprise, surprise, in your 2nd post on this thread you are telling us all how great Bet Collection Lays is again.
You must think we were all born yesterday! :o
I think the decision to go to Epsom probably has a lot more to do with the owner rather than the trainer.
It certainly wouldn’t do Aga Khan Studs any harm were Sinndar’s son to go on and win the Epsom Derby.
;)
I think you forgot to take your medication again Gamble.
Very spooky Burroughhill :o
My 4 selections are:
Hedgehunter
Le Duc
Clan Royal
Garvivonnian
Hurricane Run vs Heart’s Cry vs Electrocutionist in the King George would be a mouthwatering prospect.
Lets hope they all get there.

I also don’t give a rats ass about how many horses died at the festival. So what?
I think you’ll find comments like that are not welcome here, you’d be better off posting on the ‘other’ forum where you’ll find plenty of like-minded souls.
In fact, the sub heading to this thread "All credibilty lost" sums you up perfectly. Go and espouse your rancid views elsewhere.
W@nker!

I have always respected bear’s postings on this forum. But from his/her’s most recent offering I have had to change my opinion.
What a complete and utter asshole!
I do not think Mr. Persad is the greatest racing journalist in the world, but he isn’t the worst either. The job he is employed to do for the BBC – i.e. report on the race in hand & the aftermath of the finish in an all- encompassing way, for not just the knowledgable punters whom have been into the game for years, but also those new to the sport, is perfectly adequate.
I have to ask you bear: If this presenter, that you clearly have a personal problem with (just because he didn’t take to your unkind, and unfriendly spiel at York train station) was just a regular white guy presenting & reporting on racing on TV, would you have the same problem with him?
It seems that, unfotunately, many people in this game still think that it should still be run by, and reported on, exclusively by white, heterosexual males – with no exceptions.
Welcome to the 21st Century!
(Not that I am suggesting you fall into that category at all, bear).
Give the guy a break.

godolphin.com lists their horses in training.
Sick as a chip. :(
A fantastically good looking horse, real stamp of a chaser.
Regardless of the debate on how good a chaser he actually was, and how good the horses were that he beat, he won 3 Cheltenham Gold Cups, and nobody can ever take that away from him. A remarkable achievment.
R.I.P. Matey.
Today’s results at Newmarket offer some poetic justice for those of us who are tired of the arrogance of the Coolmore team, who seem to act like horseracing is run purely for their benefit.
Another example today in the Supreme Stakes at Goodwood of Dettori incompetance, as Fallon completely outrode him up the straight.
It was clear at the Glorious meeting that the better ground after rain was on the stand side, and that the centre was definately easier ground.
Ground had clearly eased from the overnight good to firm today.
So what does Fallon do on Arakan – comes stand side in the straight. What does Dettori do – stays dead centre all the way up the straight.
What a dipstick!
Yes I am talking through my wallet – but it makes me feel better having a good moan about Lanw**k
o Dettori’s jockeyship today :(Very shocking and sad news. Always enjoyed reading Phunter’s posts, he was a very knowledgable fellow.
He’ll be greatly missed on this forum.
Rest in peace Phunter.

robnorth,
Have you never heard of Desert Orchid, Carvill’s Hill, Master Oats, Burrough Hill Lad, See More Business?
All five of these chasers produced better performances than Best Mate ever has, during the ‘modern era’.
And unless somebody sticks a rocket up his arse in one of his future races, he never will better them.
Good luck to Best Mate and his connections. It is tremendous for everyone in racing to have a horse capable of such a fantastic historical achievement. I never thought I would see a horse win three Gold Cups in my lifetime.
But why can’t the dreamers on this forum (and beyond) just appreciate the fact that he is just simply a very good horse at best, in a very poor era for staying chasers, and stop talking about him like he is the reincarnation of Pegasus?
Utter nonsense!
A great achievement to win 3 Gold Cups. But he has beaten nothing of note in all 3 of them. In fact, in another couple of strides Sir Rembrandt would have beaten him today.
Best Mate isn’t as good as Desert Orchid, let alone Arkle!
Saddened to read on the Racing Post website that some twisted individual(s) layed Jair Du Cochet at 999-1 after news of his death had come through.
No scruples whatsoever!
Really sad news. We’ll never know how good he really was – I think his very best was yet to come.
