    Hi Guys,
Well here goes for the new season. My idea of the winner here is Ibn Khaldun in the 2,000 Guineas. Good luck to all.

    Hi Guys,
An outsider who could be interesting here for me is Openide. Ran a cracker last time out and has his ground. EW prospect I would think.

    Johngringo,
Could I ask you a question regards handicaps. When assessing these do you start at the top and work your way down until you arrive at a selection or do you have a rating system of your own which you use?

Although nobody has mentioned him, I think a dark horse lurking near the bottom, Sonnyanjoe, has good ew possibilties here.

When talking about The Champion Hurdle for 2008 it was interesting what an Irish Bookmaker said yesterday on ATR. He said that in his opinion the winner of the CH hasn’t jumped a fence in public yet. That suggests that there is still an unknown mystery horse in Ireland who is strongly fancied by those in the know. I would hold all bets until nearer the time for now.

    Hi everyone,
I think it was Sheikh Mohammed who once said "If you live in the past, you miss the future". I have been lucky enough to have been a member on a few forums regarding VDW and long ago came to the conclusion that nobody tells you anything. What I have deduced though is that VDW’s ideas are just as relevant today as they were when he wrote them. There are good VDW bets every week if you know where to look. I do believe, as certain members on here will know, that selecting the right race is as important as anything else he wrote about. Look for the right races and you’ll find the right horses.

    Maggsy,
I think your referring to the Paddy Power Gold Cup which used to be The Mackeson this weekend at Cheltenham. Your idea of discussing it on here would be a good one. I think it would need it’s own page though.
    Mike.
