Fallon’s ride on Arakan was vintage, pure champagne.

I backed Sabeeh and even if Lester himself had taken the mount, he wouldn’t have beaten Fallon today. When the money’s down, there’s no-one better.

Given a better ride last year she would have been..imho..the winner of the Arc..Bago has hardly shown himself to be unbeatable.

I quite agree, EC and all who commented. I rarely rant, but I did a passable impression of an angry lunatic on early release last year.

If it wasn’t for the presence of Motivator, I think connections would be tempted this year too.  Oh, and Hurricane Run I suppose.;) But Belmont has always been the target.

Funny, I’ve been around cyberspace for years and Richard doesn’t half get some hammer.

Reminds me of the stick Kevin Bond took up at Man City. Would he get so much stick if he hadn’t been fortunate enough to ride for Sheikh Hamdan? I doubt it.

I made more money out of him when he was at Thomson Jones’ than any other jockey and his presence has never put me off a mount.

Mind you, he can ride some stinkers, I’ll give you that. When he gets it wrong…he GETS it wrong!:o

Highlight of the weekend, chaps.   What a lady!

And HOW did this magnificent Breeders Cup and dual Oaks winner get in a race where a listed class Mango Mischief was giving her 3lbs!!  Sir Mark Prescott would have been proud of that piece of placement!!

And 13/8 freely available. You layers must have had some bottle to play at that price.;)

They are racing again at Newmarket this weekend, for the traditional Cambridgeshire meeting.  And in a fortnight afer that. And Racing is not just about the admission ticket…its about the betting.

A bad day and you’re looking at a ton minimum.

There’s been an awful lot of racing down that way this year. And I’ve seen better Ascot cards than this in the past.

As for "Ascot at" comparisons, York is an unfair comparison to make because if you ran flapping dogs on the Knavesmire, 20,000 would turn up!

Driving about today minding my own business. I swiftly noticed every garage I passed had a queue. (I heard later from a parking attendant at Morrison’s that there was frenzied fighting on a forecourt in a Mansfield garage. Not that they need much of an excuse for a scrap up there).

Had OPEC been reading the Forum, I thought. No. The Truckers are back, it seems. On Wednesday. And no, Brownie still won’t cut the duties.

Y’know, I was thinking about this last night.

Anyone remember "Jam"?? And why can’t you buy it on DVD. I thought that was loads better than something like "It Takes a Worried Man", starring Peter Tilbury.

I never thought he could win the race in the first place, RD, but McEvoy must have thought he was riding Pegasus at a meeting which seemed to favour prominent runners, the fast improving Spurt apart.

And what about "Never the Twain". 26 minutes a week of near- death experience laughter.:)

Or Nigel Havers’ upper class medcom, "Don’t Wait up".

Worth the licence fee all by itself!
