Zaynar is a class act but with his penalty I think he’s vulnerable. Plus he’ll need to travel better than he sometimes does at a track like Ascot. You can get away with it at Newbury or Cheltenham to an extent but Ascot is not the kind of place you can afford to lose a bit of ground.

I’m on Imperial Commander for this as well. As mentioned in the Ante-Post bets thread, I find it hard to believe he isn’t half the price.

I’ve just noticed that Albertas Run has an entry in the 2m3f G2 on Saturday, and I was wondering whether there was a chance he might end up in this?

AR is nowhere near quick enough for the Ryanair. I’ve backed him for the GC at 200/1 though

Loyal Royal @ 16/1 looks overpriced here. Good e.w bet. Saver on Goodbye Cash

Given the HEAVY going, shouldn’t Notre Pere be favourite for this?

Despite his visually impressive win at Punchestown let’s not forget that he looked like a right slow boat over 3m on soft behind Neptune Collnges the time before, ridden some way put and plugging on. At Punchestown I think his rivals were all non stayers/didn’t handle the ground/weak race. Plus the trip was 3m1f and the ground bottomless which made it more of a 3m4f test.

I am still not convincd he will have the pace to go with genuine top notch 3 milers when they turn the screw 3 out, even on really heavy ground. Plus it’s worth noting that the Haydock chase track is very easy/tight and speed favouring these days. Even on heavy I think he’ll be too slow to win this. Add in the fact that he fell recently and I think he is a terrible price at 9/4.

I think KS and MDB will have to be badly below par for him to prevail – which admittedlty is possible in the likely extreme conditions. Kauto is the one to beat but I think the value has to be MDB at 5/1+ – 3m on a flat track is ideal and he has plenty of form with cut in the ground. Replications of his Kempton/Aintree wins from last season will mean Kauto will have to be near the top of his game, and at the respective prices the Pipe horse is the value imo.

Do you guys think Trafford Lad will run now as both Hills and Coral took him out there markets and he is
    37 on Betfair

So long for my big last post!!

Paddy Power have taken him out as well – might be headed for the John Durkan instead.

Phew! that was close.TAPK had £20 on at 14 with Betfair, but was seriously considering having £50 e/w on him soon!I would have been well pi**ed off with that! "If you want the price to pay,you have to pay the price"!!

Do you always refer to yourself in the third person? Hard Held certainly doesn’t

Nacarat heading straight for the King George

Good decision. Will be a decent price after his Exeter flop and likely a good TBP bet at Kempton

I am a bit of a shopping snob and

won’t go to places like Asda, Primark etc. because of the quality of person that shops there

, but even I like Wilko’s enough to make an exception! VALUE

That just makes you come across as a complete a$$hole.

Probably not far off the mark!

I take it you’re an Asda man then

Up to his best? You would have no idea whatsover what his best is and that’s the problem with him.

Which is why I said "He

    probably

ran up to his best form

    of last season

    "

I love it when people write shyte on here  If I was Wullie Mullins I would be over the moon with the way Hurricane Fly ran there.

I don’t think anyone has said he ran badly. He probably ran up to his best form of last season

Solwhit should be 5/2 favourite for the CH after that. He has it all.

Hurricane Fly didn’t do too badly today but the fact is that he had no right to be Champion Hurdle favourite before the race today. He’s not a no hoper but I think 10/1 would be about the right price for the CH

Another huge run by Sizing Europe today. 5 secs quicker than the 138 rated Blueberry Boy in the 2m hcap chase on the same card, and SE was carrying 3lbs more.

I still don’t trust him enough to say he will win the Arkle but he is a horse with truly phenomenal talent

Yes I know he wasn’t 100% fit and I know he was giving 10lbs away but that really wasn’t a good performance by MM and it can’t be ignored that from Ascot-Cheltenham-Punchestown-Today he has regressed quite a bit on each occasion. I think it is time to back a horse against him for the QMCC.

Big Zeb is pure class but we all know he has his jumping frailties and 5/1 is probably about right. Like many I love Well Chief and would love to see him do it. However he will be 11 next year, is injury prone and even though he did it well today the form isn’t all that great with Mahogany Blaze so close up and MM clearly miles below form. 7/1 is too short even though I’d love it to happen.

I think the ones to be on are Kalahari King at 12/1 and Barker at 20/1. KK was probably unlucky in the Arkle and was very impressive at Aintree. He’s consistent too. And I could definitely see Barker challenging the big guns this year.

    Did a £2 WIN L15 (£30) today

    Well Chief 11/4 WON
    Medermit 12/1 3rd
    Wolf Moon 14/1 WON
    Tell Massini 8/1 WON

Think it pays about £1500 but would have been about £22,000 I think if Medermit could have just found a bit more. Happy but also kinda gutted – really could have done with £20k

    Solwhit looked different gravy there

Pleased to see the hype bubble burst for HF there – anyone that backed him at 5/1 or less for the CH deserves to lose money
