Thanks for that but I still don’t understand where you got your going allowance of -0.9 for Dawn Approach due to yielding going

The Blues Brother – some fantastic stuff on this thread

Quick question for you – do you compile your own going allowance per meeting based on time or do you use some form of standardised one based on the official going?

    Thanks again

I see Hills have taken enough 8/1 now and have cut him to 6/1. Stan James have kindly stepped into the breach and now offer 8/1

Pocket talk by any chance?? I fully agree with Ken below, he made a bad error, we are all human…he will learn from it. Move on.

You can’t really blame people who backed the horse for being annoyed.

I thought this thread was about the Queen’s obvious ploy to get Barber Shop nicely handicapped for the 2013 Grand National!

If you mean at the course, then the *ahem* "integrity" of the over-round is maintained by making sure that prices are shortened first before lengthening anything – also known as the cardinal rule of on-course book-making and best exhibited on Grand National day.

If you mean on Betfair, it’s because of automated bots

They work in UCD, not Trinity.

Jim Bolger is one of the directors.

    Hi Zippy

India out to 9/2 and the Draw is now odds-on

What’s the story here, weather gonna win this one?

I find that print wholly unsatisfactory.

How do they do it at 9.20 at Wolverhampton in the middle of January?

‘Slipper of the BHA’ (Judith) can come on here all he likes in his ‘spin doctor’ role but why can’t we as the OP asks not see what was available to the Judge?

Pomp – I’ll happily try and arrange for you to come up to the judges box with me at a meeting and show you.

PM me some dates and I’ll see what I can sort.

    Paul/Slipper/Judith

    I’m in.

How does Gold Cup day at Cheltenham next March suit you?

Can I call a result too?

I don’t know how that result wasn’t amended. De Sousa had to basically snatch up to prevent the horse going through the rail. Then he had to start again while Spencer’s mount was still in full flight.

Do the stewards actually take into account the fact that the horse that has been interfered with loses so much momentum that it has basically no chance whatsoever of getting back at the winner.

I’d like to see the date of race stated for ante-post races when you click on the particular race. I know that it lists the races in date order in the ante-post list but when you click on a race it should state the date at the top beside the race name.

    eg – Sussex Stakes
    http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing … sex-stakes

There are a couple of non-racing things I would like to see

Another thing I would like to see is related to GAA. The inter-county championships and the club championships are separate competitions yet the fixtures are listed as one. You wouldn’t see FA Cup fixtures listed with Premier League matches or with International matches so a bit more effort here please.

In relation to NFL I have 2 bugbears here. The first is that the home team should be listed 2nd, as is standard in American sports. The second relates to the blue/red in handicap betting. If a handicap moves from -7.0 to -6.0 then this should be red NOT blue.

Also I would like to see Ladbrokes back there but I appreciate that this is not Oddschecker’s fault
