Good stuff insomniac. Some ridiculous paranoia in this thread
Wouldnt call him unlucky Dave at all. Sure, his guidance came from no 10 (most likely) but turning Graeme’s stuff on its head, his background no doubt didnt hinder him getting the job in the first place….quite the opposite…
Ruth Kelly’s totla lack of political antennea never fails to amaze

No!
May 20, 2009 at 17:02 in reply to: Black Bear Island – not good looking enough for the Derby? #229003Well i sense it might be too tdk. For my money, sts beat a very very decent miler over a trip short of ideal. That alone could be special and whilst the stamina doubts are real, as carvills said, the race is seemingly less often run to expose that. -m not one to get hung up on jockeys, but if murtagh times a late run as at chester…….

Could well be a mix of so so animals from a relatively bunchefd dante finish, a guineas winner that may well not stay and a classy looking two year old who may not have trained on. Oh and a favourite whos somewhat untested. Bit early for conclusions i thinlkMay 20, 2009 at 00:51 in reply to: Black Bear Island – not good looking enough for the Derby? #228840Have "smaller than average" horses generally performed better at Epsom? Not a course for the equine equivalent of peter crouch of course…but
Genuine question….im not really too sure about the answer here
I would go there but I couldnt put up with all those miners and that bloody singing
Well spotted Dave….forgot password you will be dismayed to know
Graeme….cut the "english" bit will you?
not in the slightest bit true IMO
I like AS. Hes good value
But I would like to know where he gets this idea that NH racing is "cheaper" than flat racing. And the food better? What?
Ascot (wonder if that was the course he meant) was £8 prebooked into grandstand for Sagaro stakes day. Champions day at Newmarket is a lot cheaper than any equivalent NH meeting
Happy Valley was part of a holiday for me…so count that out i suppose
York
but its a doddle of a daytrip from london on the GNER (as it was) and well worth it of course.
drove to aintree and back (taking in relatives in Southport) in a day once. And frankly, it wasnt really worth it
Hes useless and a typical example of an overpromoted waste of space
The "english snobs" may well be asking how this scottish incompetent came to be appointed by a scottish dominated cabinet? i wonder…
The biggest misjudgement was trying to suppress the details of the claims. Didnt it ever occur to him that this information was a certainty to be leaked at some stage? And shouldnt that have been preempted?
The vile midget Blears should go asap too. Waving a cheque in front of cameras as if its all ok now and was abit of a lark. FFS
You talk complete garbage
Just ok to ignore the "penalty appeals" as if they are somehow not part of the game (and you must be the only idiot who seriously thinks that only "one" was genuine). Conveniently ignore that at least one prevented a clear scoring chance
And you really think that a team which created less chances over both legs "thoroughly" desrved to win do you?
The tie was about even IMO. To claim otherwise is to be clearly sucked into to snactimonious rubbish and complete upthemselves drivel we have been served up by the catalans (a charmless club and supporters in my experince…but i digress). Passing around to no discernable purpose is NOT domination
Barca’s big problem is that they cannot adapt. Man Utd will be well aware of that (as Jose was when we did them 3 years back)
Equitrack
Like most dippers, your opinion is pretty worthless.
If you think that a team that took until the 93rd minute to have a shot on target "dominated" a game, then you clearly havent a clue have you?
Some right rubbish on here…
Of course he gets a mile. Is the french form of no relevance all of a sudden?
It is certainly possible that a hard run straight mile on soft going stretches him but not every race is run in those conditions of course
Strangely maligned horse in some quarters (not the right connections perhaps?)
But for punters, he certainly has delivered a very decent strike rate. Somewhat better than George Washington and Hawk wing i would suggest
