Like twice over in this but think weiner waltzer at 25-1 looks a cracking bet.
Have just done elzaam 9-2, roayh 25-1 and cheswick bay 50-1. Also like amwell pinot but didnt back. Good lookin list imo ginge, almost identical 2 my list.
Ground looks quick so its nobles promise 4 me at 16-1.
Good -fm looks to be the ground 2day. Spin cycle e-w at 33s.
Much will depend on the ground but dick turpin would be my fav if good ground. Makfi and lope de vega are my favorite horses of the season so far but in my mind backing anything at 5-2 it has to nailed on and in my mind makfi is not.
Royer dupre’s in this for me 4 small stakes as will try 2 work out the ground after this race…
im a big fan of elzaam and klammer in this if gd-fm but if the ground is good then the advantage will fall 2 samuel morse galtimore lad and move in time imo.
Give 2 pound a month 2 feed a hungry african and what do they do? Buy an F-ing trumpet…
Muller looked pretty decent 4 an 80-1 shot…
have went germany 14s ew as my main bet but also ghana 80s and paraguay 66s ew
Thought ghana looked awesome there, should make it through the group fairly easily if they play like that again…
Imo newmarket 4 the 2000 guineas is best suited 2 a horse that will see out 10f. Ascot has a short run in an on a quick surface u want a horse with plenty of speed. I think canford cliff is just more of an ascot than a guineas type. And its not because mafki is french, i backed mafki in the guineas. My 2 bets here are Nobles Promise 16s and Poets Voice 50s. I would like 2 see mafki vs workforce vs twice over vs elusive pimpernel vs lope de vega in a fast ground eclipse, that would be the race of the year. Its not that i think mafki has no chance at ascot but i reckon at ascot i would have canford cliffs shorter…
i think canford cliffs is probably a rightful favorite for this, but nobles promise is a horse i backed in last years bc juvenile and i think ascot may be right up his street if gd-fm. Also like poets voice of godolphins at a decent price e-w.
Elzaam will win this. Looked a class animal at york. Clive brittains looks a decent ew and irish field looks a good guineas type 4 next year, but think elzaam looks to have 2 much class 4 this field at this stage…
have went germany 14s ew as my main bet but also ghana 80s and paraguay 66s ew
had an e-w on thomas muller at 80-1.
I would consider Montaff for an e/w if he was sent for this. I liked his run at ascot earlier this year where on ground too quicker he finished one paced next to quicker finishers after looking like he may win at one point. Think he’s a styrong staying type…
I remember Shamardal winning the poulains (as did Lope De Vega) then he won the Prix Jockey Club (as did Lope De Vega), then won the St James Palace (may be mistaken but think that was the year it was in york and there was a loose surface on what was described as fast ground). Not sure ascot would suit Lope De Vega if the ground was quicker, but think theres enough horses to chose from forthis to be a good solid race. Still dont think we’ve seen the best of some of the beaten horses from the guineas…and where i love mafki, ascot is different to newmarket…
