Hi Ray,

Hi everyone,

It seems that TYCHY in the 6.30 at Lingfield (24th May) was a late qualifyer for the system. I will discount this 6/4 winner because I can only go on the ratings I read at the time, which happened to be Friday evening.

I wrote an email to Adrian and his detailed reply was very enlightening. For instance, when there are evening races going on, the resulting ratings are updated on the following morning, also if the going changes, this can effect the ratings on the day of the race in question.

The fact that I work on a rotating shift system will mean that sometimes I post in the evening and other times in the morning. So, selections can be affected by when I access the site.

Hi Kersly,

Thanks for your constructive observations. I am relatively happy with the SITD system and I would be more than happy if it made a consistant +4 points each month. Could do with a few more odds-against winners though just to keep my bank manager content.

Hope you continue to reel in the winners on YOUR system thread, like the 5/4, you keep picking ’em over the longer term.

Hi Paul,

Good point, trouble is, May is still an uncharted month and there has already been a couple of 5/1 winners since the system began.

If, like me, you follow the evens or better bets, then we would be kicking ourselves IF it did come in and we hadn’t backed it.

I think there have only been a handful of BIG PRICE runners due to the selection process so it’s probably worth taking it on the chin knowing that you will make up the points on another day.

Thanks for your input Paul, very much appreciated. I too, follow the 5/4 system and back all selections at EVENS OR BETTER. It has stood the test of time in my book and deserves all the praise it has been getting.

I will continue posting on this thread as long as the SITD system is making money – so far, so good.
