You raise a good point and today was the first day I did not back an odds against selection. The only reason I said what I did was by looking back over all the results.
I now save all the data for selections each day and wish I had done for the last few years so would have a better record.
With only 300 selections it is still statistically only "likely" that there will be no high priced winners. However the big priced horses are always in big field maidens – difficult at the best of times.
However you are right I would have been gutted if it had won tonight as I bet at quite high stakes.
This is probably one of the best systems to invest in if you add a few filters such as eves + only.

Hi Ray,
I see we have ourselves another odds-against Maiden where 30% of the runners do not have any speed form and Spotlight also gives it a miss. This could be the 5th win on the trot for the bookie.

Just have to see how it goes. It is also a selection on another system that I am paper trading.<br>I have also been keeping an eye on how many question marks they have in comparison to ticks in PD and the ones with a lot of question marks have been a bad bet so far.

One of the ratings used for this system no longer provides ratings for evening racing:( . This will reduce the number of selections.
For evening racing why not use the ratings in a Daily newspaper, surely they are at least as accurate as the Adrian Massey ratings.:)

Hi JAR<br>Just my personal opinion, If anybody wishes to use another source to replace A.M. it should be done on another thread and keep this one for the stright 5/4 system.<br>I have been looking at other sources myself incase either A.M. or L.T. stop posting but that would then be a different system.

Interesting 25/1 shot…..
Can’t remember if I put ths up before there has never been a winner greater than 6/1 on this system over the last 2 years, but there is always a first!
Maybe worth considering if putting a big wager on.
I know now that I don’t bet it will win!

With the system showing a profit overall I am going to bet as normal. If it dosent win its only the same loss as any other looser on the system and if it wins what a boost for the system.
