Utterly clueless clowns running racing in this country. But, it’s shocking how ARC think Newcastle is a wonderful racetrack now the fabulous NH and flat course have been cut up and sacrificed for cheap AW course with only a straight floodlit course.

Two days of Premier racing at Musselburgh, close to £500k in prize money and ITV don’t have single person on course. I guess when you are not a Jockey Club track…

The Jockey Club thought that flogging Kempton was a good idea, why not ARC with Lingfield. Windors flat racing programme is mainly fodder, having lost most of its Listed races, the Monday nights are just an excuse to sell lots of booze to punters. Will have to see what sort of NH level Windsor are aiming for. Lingfield is just left with the Surrey National as a race that stands out for half decent prize money, but whats the odds it will end up as the Berkshire National at Windsor.

Don’t forget the winter derby has ended up at flood prone Southwell now.

Nick Luck is as dull as ditch water. Matt Chapman brings something to racing, perhaps he can help CH4 reinvent itself.

Wheeling out Clare for just the big meetings just undermines the whole CH4 set up. If she was that important she’d be the weekly anchor. Nick Luck is quite frankly just boring. The Emma and Cat show was fine (just see how ratings have plummeted) horse racing was broadcast as a sport for everyone. Emma eys candy yes, Cat a professional.

Get rid of Nick Luck and let Emma Spencer present it in a skimpy designer dress, ratings would sore.

Quite a nice feel to the show today, Clare and Mick outside at Newbury and just glimpses of the dreaded mobile home parked up at York and the lovely Emma.

Given that they were covering racing at 3 quality meetings today at Ascot, Haydock & Lingfield, thought it was odd that 3 of their main presenters (Persad, Cunningham & McGrath) were in a studio in Chester

Lack of respect in a nutshell.

I found the old Ch4 line up far more palatable. Yes Emma and Cat flirted outrageously and yes she used the camera as a mirror, but they bought a bit of life to the programme, throw in Thommo on the odd occasion and it was a friendly relaxed programme focused on the horses. Now adays you have Mr Luck one of the most smug arrogant presenters known to man who just makes you want to turn off. Big Mac had the measure of Lord Snooty many years ago.

Dare I say this afternoons coverage was actually watchable. Not the greatest days racing, hence no Mr Luck and his constant drivel, but it was like the old days of C4 racing. Alice the main presenter on course rather than in the back of the tin truck. Emma looking great too :D Just please replace Mick Fitz, luckily GC got the day off too.
