I think that Flash De Touzaine is a big old price at 100/1. He doesn’t deliver that often, but he’s a few pounds off his mark when he was third at Ayr. Although it would worry me that he won’t go, with options for him next week for sure, I’ve had a bet for interest already
I’m hoping to attend every day, which usually means a few ante-posts, but I’m just I’m more restrained this year. I think that’s a lot do with an increased number of our runners potentially at Sandown this year.
I will definitely give Bunting one last try in the 4 year old hurdle, even if Kargese looks a good thing, but I’m not sure betting 8/1 ante-post is worth it.
I’m really looking forward to The Gold Cup, and I would love to see Fastorslow get his head in front.
This is a strange one for me, and he couldn’t be further removed from the type of horse that I’d normally be interested in, but I’m betting Solomon Grey here if he runs.
He’s a bit with head, bit with heart. I’ve followed him since me and my mates went to Kempton after a long week at Cheltenham. I told everyone to punt him, and there was a bit of edgy craic when he didn’t win.
Those at the front of the market are in a different league to the old boy, but I’ll be betting old Solomon to pick up the scraps and make the frame at a big big price if he gets the nod here. He is 100/1 right now
I would be most interested in Fun Fun Fun here at 7/2, but I couldn’t possibly have a bet before I know that she’s running
I had the same fear Greenasgrass, but it’s actually a smaller field than i had expected
I will join you and FF91. He will be one of my biggest bets of the weekend too. I’m not a fan of adding to my bets when I’m as strong on one, as I am with Comfort Zone, but I’d like a smaller interest in Conyers Hill, so I’ll bet him too
I’m at opposite ends of the market here. I think that sometimes it pays not to overlook the obvious and I think that Nick Rockett should win this. I’m best to wait though at this stage, and as unlikely as it will be, I’d really like to beat the 4/1 that he is right now.
From favourite to rag, and my second bet will be Royal Thief. He will be a monster price, and he is 100/1 just now, but I will bet him once I know that he is running, and I should get better each way terms
I’ve bet two outsiders at this stage in Conflated and Foxy Jacks. Conflated has ran to the standard that I’d expect in his races this season, and I’ve taken 50/1. Non Runner No Bet was important with him, as he could easily run in The Aintree Bowl on the Thursday. Foxy Jacks is a big price in my view, certainly based on recent evidence and 66/1 ew, also nrnb, was an easier call for me to make.
The other two that were well up there were Bronn and Galvin. Gingertipster, I was very encouraged to see you showing an interest in Bronn, but like you, every time I try to get info on him, I hit a brick wall. I’d like to hear the views of Greenasgrass on him, who I know was a big fan of the horse. Galvin is already well discussed, and I wouldn’t mind reading VTC’s views on him at this stage as well
If I had to make a call nearer the front of the market right now, I would be most interested in Meeting Of The Waters and Kitty’s Light
I always thought he was top drawer, and I’ve followed his progress ever since I was right by the line at Leopardstown when he got done in a head bobber with a Giggi horse.
It’s been very unfortunate the injuries that he’s had, and I’m now hoping that they call it a day with him now
Ham, Fleur au Fusil for me also. I’ll take the 20/1 just now, but as I’m going on the wed, I certainly won’t be complaining if I can get bigger than that on course.
GaG, I’m with you, and my ap shout is Ballyadam 25/1 nrnb
Monty’s Star is one of my biggest fancies of the week.
I’ve bet him at bigger prices, but its obviously poor craic to come on here armed with a price I had every opportunity to put up earlier, so I’m happy to go with 11/2 nrnb. I have bet him again at that price anyway. If he wins I’ll have a good day out.
I’m only going the Wed this year, so concentrating my ap bets there. I know that Asian Master has an entry in the opener, but for ap purposes, I’ve bet him here 33/1 nrnb
Given the competition here, I think that there are worse nrnb options than Maskada. I’ve taken 100/1 ew non runner no bet
Maskada is my early shout here as there has to be a chance that she’ll be A1 here. HDB can really get them finely tuned for this week. I’ve taken 16/1 non runner no bet
The horse that I nearly bet for this last year was Ganapathi, the ex-Mullins horse. I see that he’s got an entry again. I’m going to actually back him this time at 66/1 ew
I don’t think that Young Dev is finished for the season after how he won last time out. I’m not desperate for an ap bet in this, but I do think that 14/1 is fair enough
Tom, I’m with you again, and Joystick is my bet at 20/1 non runner no bet
I hope you’re a lucky man to follow in Tom
