I think of all the online bookmakers Bet365 are the best, everyone can make mistakes!
Thanks a lot thats very useful
Is it just me or does £6.8M contribution to levy seem like a pittance compared to the benefit it recieves from Horse racing.
I like Matt Williams, I think he is having a bad run but generally he talks sense.
But his Italian collegue on Trading Post, now thats a different matter, has he ever tipped a winner??
The point is you cannot deny that some horses are bred to jump, whether that’s through their pedigree, or was the intention when the breeder made the mating decision.
I’m sorry as an earlier post alluded to this is a total fallacy no horses are bred to jump. Jumping is totally unatural to a horse and its something that a wild horse will never do and has to be taught. Horses are bred for longer distances, but certainly not to jump!
Sorry to be a bit pedantic
I totally agree with the gist of the article, but I believe Trainers are just as at fault.
They seem to forget that they are part of an entertainment industry.
I would go further and say that Winning Trainers should be obliged to give interviews, and if they refuse a part of the winnings should be withdrawn.
Then they soon might realise where the winning prize money ultimately comes from, which is the public. And therefore they have an obligation to the public.
only reason they
I’m an owner!!
Blue Sq Offered a 10% rebate and had their own syndicate, with horses selected by their "experts". The perm covered 4 or 5 horses a race.
Needless to say they were out completely (Place pool as well) by the second leg!!
Not being an expert on Australian Racing.
Could you tell me what the Golden Slipper is?
Thanks
There is a good article here;
http://www.bookmakers1.com/paceanalysis.html
Which mentions amongst other things Willoughbys thoeries on pace.
I think the bleeder theory is the best one.
The horse will be worth a fortune as a broodmare and something like that will severly devalue her.
However by not disclosing anything people will now assume the worst, so the damage may well have been done anyway.
The reason I have heard elsewhere is that they have introduced the charge to discourage bots. Which severly disrupt the running of the site.
But it feels like a hammer to crack a nut to me.
Perhaps they just want there horses to be ridden to achieve the best possible placing!

You seemed to have altered your tack, towards paying for the best facilities e.g Business and Economy class.
That wasn’t my point at all I’ve travelled business class on plenty of occasions and not once have I been turned away for not wearing a suit!
I went today for the first time and was pleasently surprised.
Its obviously not finished, but the viewing was excellent of the horses both before and during the race. Massive big screen, something which i think is scandalously not at every race meeting.
The bars were excellent and spacious, although there were rather a lot of bouncers in th true sense of the word rather than security!
Parking was easy and everyone was very friendly. I found it a refreshing change to a lot of the stuck up courses that we have, to borrow a quote from the RP today why should I have to dress like I’m attendng a close friends wedding just to be allowed to access the best facilities at a racecourse.
People will always resist change and I know that there are a lot of anti AW people for some peculiar reason, but I would urge people to give the course a chance.
Some trainers also make money on travelling expenses, particularly if they have more than one horse going but charge both the owners as if only one was travelling.
Hughes – Another shocking ride by a shocking jockey.
Holland – Would be my first choice to ride any of my horses.
And in terms of loyalty, I think that jockeys are one of the most disloyal bunch around. They will have no qualms about jumping off your horse if they get an offer of a better ride in that race.
