Racing Post reports:

JAMIE SPENCER will be replaced by Robert Winston aboard Spacious when the 1,000 Guineas runner-up returns to action next month raising questions of a rift between owners Cheveley Park Stud and the champion jockey.

Does anyone know what has triggered this now? Incidentally, it looks as if other Fanshawe/Spencer riding arrangements may be changing, as Soviet Song’s 2yo sister Margarita (Elite Racing Club) is down to be ridden by Eddie Ahern for her Goodwood debut next Tuesday: Spencer would have been the expected choice here too.

Perhaps they just want there horses to be ridden to achieve the best possible placing!
