Tar lads.
However what I’m saying is, does Phil Smith (sure he’s a fellow scouser?) literally do some mathematical sum and sit there and say ‘well this horse won by 12 lengths and weighed this much DO DEY BU LA multliplied by XYZ = New Rating’?
Now I know Kauto Star is rated 194, now is that done off some EQUATION or is it just a general rule of thumb that CLASSY horses go in the ‘190’ sphere of things?
Also where do I find the official ratings?
Tar Gerry. Going to bed early aren’t you?

I noticed its mostly Fillys (like you said) to because Muthabara was described as ‘black in type’ and ‘behind in her coat’ last year.
ANYONE GOT THE ANSWERS TO 3,4,5?
I was @Aintree and was probably the only person in the mob of people round me who won on that race @16/1. Was getting some icey stares

The RSPCA remained unahappy and wanted a guideline of 12 hits.
I think Wolverhampton races could do with more attention.
Timeform have it rated @170 (before the race)
I like the unraced types sometimes. Sometimes the whole reason I do them and its pedigree suits (Sire was speedy type)
Nice fair weather here.
Don’t know about any typo, but those of us who had had a bet had already lost the faith. You could have got 190 overnight//today Kept on looking at it, but I was trying to look after my pennies. Has anyone heard the story behind Rambling Minster’s PU?
Do tell……
Mick Fitzgerald has just mentioned all 3 of my picks

Anyone seen Rambling Minsters jockey? He looks about 9

Sos lads I knew he’d either NEVER Won (like a horse that was favourite at a meeting yesterday) or hadn’t won for 3 years.
Wow that is slow

If l’Ami wins this I’ll pack the game in- horses that flop in a National don’t come back to win it
. My guess is it’s some ill-informed tipping line inspired plunge, combined with people thinking JP is on and following the money. Would like a bit of 4/6 that AP will ride Butler’s Cabin who has a much better chance.
Little Polveir?
My daughter attended the BRS for several weeks but had to leave due to illness. When she recovered, she didn’t want to go back as it just didn’t suit her.
However, her heart was set on a racing career so she applied to the Northern Racing College, was accepted and she really loved it there.
Upon leaving there, she was sent to a trainer who shall remain nameless but treated her very badly.
She then worked at Mark Tompkins in Newmarket for a year and learnt a lot. She is now working at Jeremy Noseda’s and is very happy there. She has plans to go abroad in a few years.
It can be hard work. You ride out in all sorts of weathers and there will be ups and downs. However, if you’re doing something you love, you’ll be fulfilled and happy.
Good luck!
Thankyou
Just applied mate.
Tar for the response. Sounds like the army where not everyone makes the cut – I knew they ‘cut’ you at interview just never knew they did it on the course either.
Should i expect a letter informing me they’ve recieved my application and they’d invite me down for an interview in due course?
Also, Rip Van Winkle has just overstretched according to AOB but reckons he’ll be fit for 2nd May.
The market says otherwise!
If that over-reach took place 6 weeks ago and the money has only come for Mastercraftsman in the last few days, that would indicate to me that the injury to Rip Van Winkle is more serious than first thought and he probably won’t even line up at Newmarket.
Agree with you lad, just passing on info.
I’m becoming more and more unconvinced by MasterCraftsMan every day that passes and never been a fan of Rip Van Winkle
Brough Scott’s book is decent but I’m sure
Read a biography of Mouse Morris over Christmas, which really could have been condensed to – ‘Mouse is a lovely fellar, would never do anything to harm anyone, honest as the day is long and knows how to prepare a horse for Cheltenham.’
.Haha
That by BS?
So is there any insightful, but honest, and objective/critical writers?
